Puffins live in a nice, cosy burrow that they dig out with their feet and beaks. 4
Let’s draw Puffling 1
2
3
For her head and body draw two round shapes leaving a gap on each side.
5
Add her eyes so Puffling can see you. Add a wing shape at each of the gaps.
Her legs are like two little straws. Then add 3 dots beneath each.
4
Next we can add her beak. Start with a diamond shape.
6
To show Puffling has a white belly, we can add a circle shape.
5
Join the dots. Add a line in the centre of each foot, and claws at the tip of each toe.
There are lots and lots of gannets on the small Skellig island. It’s a very noisy place! 6
7
Let’s draw a puffin 1
2
3
Start with a big letter C for the head, then a pointy D shape for the beak.
5
Add tail feathers and curvy lines for the puffin’s white face and belly.
The legs are like two little straws. Then add 3 dots beneath each.
4
6
8
Draw a curved line, nearly an egg shape. But stop on the right side.
Draw in the details on the beak.
Join the dots. Add a line in the centre of each foot, and claws at the tip of each toe.
Puffling is ...
Friendly
Happy
Playful
Curious
Giggly
Worried
Asleep
What else could Puffling be? Draw her here. 9
Way up high on Skellig Michael are the ancient beehive huts. 10
