Philharmonic at Disney Hall, the Griffith Observatory and Pasadena Playhouse.

Join everyone’s favorite tiger, Oswald, and the internationallyacclaimed, Oxy alumni-led musical spectacle MarchFourth for a festive pre-game Homecoming celebration and lunch. For those 21 and older, that includes beer and wine at the Tiger Pub Lounge. For everyone’s enjoyment, there will be music, interactive games, and spirit booths led by student clubs. MarchFourth is a genre-breaking marching band featuring Oxy alumni John Averill ’89 and Dan Stauffer ’91. The colorful explosion of brassy funk, rock, and jazz is all about the groove. This largerthan-life group of musicians and acrobats tours the country year-round, bringing a spirit of celebration wherever they go.
FEATURED EVENTS Celebrating Oxy Athletics: Past, Present and Future Please join our new Athletic Director Shanda Ness and the Tiger Club as we celebrate the past, present, and future of Oxy Athletics. On Friday, students, alumni and generous supporters will gather to dedicate the new De Mandel Aquatics Center, Robinson Family Terrace and McKinnon Family Tennis Center, and toast to the success of future aquatic and tennis teams. We will then honor the past with the 7th Occidental Athletics Hall of Fame, and celebrate the new class of outstanding athletes: the 1954 Baseball team, the late Ninja Jorgensen ’61 (Volleyball), Ron Whitney ’64 (Track), Olin Browne ’81 (Golf), and Jackie Provost ’02 (Women’s Water Polo). On Saturday, come out and cheer for the Tigers of today at Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, and Football Homecoming games.

The Oxy Campaign For Good Celebrate Oxy and learn how our community is joining together to build for the future. Hear from College leaders Lucia Choi-Dalton ’89, Media Arts & Culture Professor, department Chair Broderick Fox, and President Jonathan Veitch about how our recently-launched Campaign is a pivotal moment in the College’s trajectory.
Keynote address: “Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde ’77 Has Something To Say” Occidental College alumnus and Disney Imagineering Creative Executive Joe Rohde makes the impossible possible. Hear how this legendary designer of Disney’s renowned theme park attractions, like Animal Kingdom and Pandora: The World of Avatar, attributes the development of his creative voice to his Oxy education, and get an inside look at his process to make imaginary worlds a reality.

Rustle and Cry On Friday and Saturday evenings, view this site-specific video art installation by Hana S. Kim projected onto the facades of the Fowler-Johnson buildings. This installation is part of Occidental’s The Ettinger Projected Poetry and Art Project.
