CAR Foundation announces grant recipients

Organization’s charity gives more than $95K to local organizations since 2019

The Coastal Association of Realtors announced last week its award of $5,250 in grants to local charities during the latest round of funding from the Coastal Realtors Foundation.

Since 2019, Coastal Realtors Foundation has given more than $95,000 to local community service organizations in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties.

The following seven organizations received grants from the foundation in this round:

Believe in Tomorrow, Habitat for Humanity Wicomico County, Humane Society of Wicomico County, Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Society, United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, Village of Hope and WGP Warriors Against Addiction.

The Coastal Realtors Foundation is a charitable fund held by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

The Realtors association raises money for the fund through an annual charity golf tournament as well as other efforts throughout the year.

The fund is accessible to members of Coastal through an application

process administered by the association and reviewed by an association committee.

Grant recipients must be 501(c)3 organizations and must be located in Somerset, Wicomico, or Worcester counties.

“Realtors volunteer at more than twice the rate of the general population,” said Coastal President Lauren Bunting, “and our Coastal Association of Realtors is no exception.We are so honored to support the local charities that our members champion.”

Grants are awarded three times a year, and the next deadline is Feb. 15, 2025.

Association names new officers, directors

The Coastal Association of Realtors has named its 2024-2025 Board of Directors, with Lauren Bunting stepping into the role of president. With her extensive experience, passion for the industry, and dedication to the local community, Bunting is set to lead the organization through another successful year.

A well-respected Realtor and long-

time member of CAR, Bunting brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her new role. She aims to strengthen member engagement, advocate for industry advancements, and uphold the association’s commitment to ethical standards and professional growth.

In addition to Bunting, serving on the board of directors are President-

The Coastal Association of Realtors (CAR) last week announced that Jason Cook of Embrace Home Loans has been awarded the association’s 2024 Outstanding Affiliate Award. This recognition honors affiliate members who demonstrate unwavering dedication to supporting the real estate industry and the local association through outstanding service and commitment.

“The Outstanding Affiliate Award is a testament to the extraordinary efforts of our affiliate members who go above and beyond in their contributions to CAR’s initiatives,” a statement from the association said.

The selection criteria include participation in local association activities, support for educational programs, community service, and demonstrating exceptional business practices. This award highlights the positive impact affiliates have on both the success of the association and the broader real estate community.

Cook has exemplified these values through his continuous support of CAR’s educational programs, commitment to community outreach, and dedication to enhancing the resources available to our members.

His contributions have significantly strengthened the bonds within our association, providing Realtors with the support they need to succeed in their businesses.

The Coastal Association of Realtors (CAR) this week announced that Pam Price is the recipient of the 2024 Good Neighbor Award, a recognition that celebrates Realtors who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to community service.

Outstanding Commercial Realtor Award November 14

The Coastal Association of Realtors (CAR) has named Wesley Cox as the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding Commercial Realtor Award.

The honor recognizes a Realtor who has demonstrated exceptional service to CAR, its clients, and the community.

Cox is a highly respected member of the Coastal Association of Realtors, having served in multiple leadership roles with the Government Affairs Committee, Community Involvement Committee and on the board of directors.

His commitment extends to numerous task forces, such as the Investment Task Force, Broker Selection Task Force, and Grievance Committee Panel.

Cox is a graduate of the Maryland Association of Realtors Leadership Academy (Class of 2014) and a past recipient of the MAR Community Service Award (2015).

He holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and a Master’s in Commercial Property from the Mike Lipsey School.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Cox is deeply engaged in community service.

He has served on boards such as the Rotary Club of Wicomico County, the Lower Shore American Red Cross, and

the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce.

He also participates in community service projects such as constructing handicap ramps, providing scholarships to local students, coordinating the annual “Flags for Heroes “display, and distributing dictionaries to third graders in Wicomico County schools. In reflecting on his business philosophy, Cox said, “I live by the Golden Rule and always prioritize building bridges over burning them. My focus is on truly connecting with clients and putting their needs above everything else. Trust and integrity are the cornerstones of my real estate practice.”

Wadler’s impact on local industry noted by award

The Coastal Association of Realtors (CAR) has announced that Pam Wadler is the 2024 recipient of the . Lifetime Achievement Award.

The honor that recognizes Realtors who have made a remarkable impact on the industry over the course of their careers. This award pays tribute to members with over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, celebrating their enduring commitment to excellence.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is one of CAR’s highest honors, presented to those who demonstrate exceptional dedication not only to their clients but also to their communities.

The selection process evaluates numerous criteria, including involvement in local, state, and national Realtor associations, civic contributions, continued education, and exemplary business practices. The association said Wadler has excelled in all of these areas, making her a truly deserving recipient.

“I am incredibly proud to present my mom, Pam Wadler, with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Veronica Bishop .“We celebrate her not only for her impressive career but for the lasting legacy she has built within our community and the real estate profession. She embodies everything this award stands for.”

Her extensive involvement in real estate organizations at the local, state, and national levels has not only strengthened the industry but also left a meaningful impact on those she has worked with.
