FALL 2024

A Message from Executive and Artistic Director

Heidi M. Sheridan

Welcome to the Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College!

The Presenting Season for 2024-2025 kicks off with two performances: Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Hollywood and Mariachi Herencia de México’s Nuestra Cosa. Join us on a voyage across decades, genres, countries, and topics as we strive to offer something for everyone. The performers—including some talented OCC students—will take you from the Bard to Broadway in OCC’s Repertory Theatre Company. Listen to the blues with Martha Redbone and experience a capella singers from Zimbabwe with Nobuntu. Learn about the Blue Zones from Dan Buettner and about journalism from ABC correspondent Stephanie Ramos. Thanks to the generous support of the Grunin Foundation, the OCC Foundation, our Ocean County partners, and especially you, our patrons, we are excited to make these performances possible and look forward to seeing you soon!

For over 50 years, I have called Ocean County my home. It is where I began and grew my law career with my late wife and law partner, Linda, started my family, and co-founded the Grunin Foundation. We established the Grunin Foundation to give back to the community that afforded us so many incredible opportunities. Building authentic relationships with community is the cornerstone of who we are as a Foundation, and of our work. And now today, 10 years later, we are honored to continue listening, learning and growing with the Central Jersey Shore community and beyond. Supporting organizations and experiences that connect our community is so important to us, and The Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts provides that ever-important connection through the arts, educational programming and cultural resources. The Center’s dedication to the arts and to the people of the Central Jersey Shore is evident and we are proud to be a partner in community with them.
