ST MARKS LIGHTHOUSE Travel back to the 1820’s when the town of St. Marks, Florida, was considered an important port of entry. Serving as a port for the planting region of Middle Florida and some counties of South Georgia. Growers hauled agricultural products down to the port town in wagons and by 1829 a tower was constructed to help navigate through the shallow waters and thus, St. Marks lighthouse.

DAY 7-14: ST AUGUSTINE

DEVIL’S MILLHOPPER GEOLOGICAL STATE PARK IN GAINESVILLE This National Natural Landmark has attracted curious visitors since the 1880s. Among North Florida’s sandy terrain and pine forests, you will find a bowl-shaped cavity 120-ft deep down to a miniature rain forest. Lush vegetation thrives in the shade of the walls even in a dry summer. Visitors can feed their curiosity and learn more about the sinkhole through interpretive displays.
