WHAT TO EXPECT When you arrive

We can’t wait to welcome you to your villa in Orlando this spring. To help you settle in and enjoy your stay in no time, we’ve put together a list of useful information about villa living:
1.Pool Heating
The pool heater will be activated on the day you arrive, and it will take 24 to 48 hours for the water to warm up. Please keep in mind that the pool will not reach bathwater temperature, but it will at least remove the chill. The water will heat up to 10°C above the air temperature, with a maximum of 29°C (85°F). The heater runs for 8 to 10 hours each day when the pool pump is on yet will automatically turn off if the air temperature drops below 12°C (55°F). This may cause the pool to feel cooler in the mornings due to overnight temperature changes.
For a clean and safe pool experience, the water should appear clear, and the bottom should be visible. If the water looks cloudy, it may need additional treatment due to low chlorine levels, and if the water turns green, it indicates an imbalance that needs immediate attention. 2. Air Conditioning
To ensure optimal use of air conditioning, please keep all doors and windows closed at all times, as warm air from outside may disrupt the cooling process. When leaving the villa during the day, we recommend keeping blinds and curtains closed to minimise heat building up. For the AC to run efficiently and avoid any strain on the system, the temperature should not be set below 75°F.
3. Insects
In Florida, it’s common to spot the odd frog or spider near the screens by the pool. You may also come across harmless lizards around the pool area or occasionally inside the home - if doors or windows are left open. Due to the warmer climate in Orlando, there are also rare occasions when cockroaches may be found, particularly near patio doors, but these sightings are relatively normal, and they do not bite, sting, or carry disease. However, we can arrange pest control when their presence becomes intrusive. The treatment is perfectly safe, and it can be done while you enjoy a day out. 4. Bin Collection
Bin collection is typically scheduled twice weekly - once for general waste and once for recycling, though select communities offer daily collection. Please ensure to place your bins outside your villa on the designated collection day. For specific bin collection schedules for each villa community, please refer to the provided leaflet.
