BEACH BASH SERIES Tuesdays: July 21, August 4, August 18, September 1 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (on July 21st & August 4th) and 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM (on August 18th & September 1st) Shake off the COVID blues with Norman Bird Sanctuary's 2020 Beach Bash Series! Instead of hosting just one Beach Bash this year, we're extending the party all summer long and giving you four opportunities to join us on Third Beach. We'll have smaller groups this year but the same fun! The fire pits will be ready with fixings for s'mores, Greg Ferreira will be playing a variety of fun music, and Ben & Jerry's will be donating ice cream. Bring your own beach gear, picnic, and drinks. We'll have a complimentary supply of soft drinks and the Peabody's Snack Shack will be open if you'd like to purchase food on site. Join us at the beach for one or all four evenings! Advance registration is required; walk-ins will not be admitted. MUSEUMS AROUND THE WORLD During this uncertain time of COVID-19 and social distancing, Google has provided a wealth of free resources for people to use, one of them being free virutal museum tours around the world. The following is a direct quote from USA Today's website: " Google Arts and Culture partnered with over 2,500 museums and galleries around the world to offer virtual tours of their spaces. Some of the options include New York’s Museum of Modern Art and Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum. The Louvre, based in Paris, is also offering its own virtual tour online for free." MOVIES & PIZZA ON THE BEACH: ONWARD Two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, go on an journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father, who died when they were too young to remember him. Build your own pizza and enjoy a contemporary family film beachside. The contemporary films shown are from Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks and 20th Century Fox Animation. Please note, tickets purchased for this event are nonrefundable. In the event of rain, if the event can be held indoors it will be held indoors.
NICKEL JUKEBOX - RIVERFRONT FREE CONCERT SERIES A cover band with a twist on the Motown, blues and rock classics! Truly a night not to miss! In the event of inclement weather, this performance will be cancelled.
