We hope that we find you well. Many of you know us well but we also have lots of new customers so I though that you might like to know a bit more about us.... Almost everyone knows Carrie. She has been here longer than the furniture! Carrie joined in 2006 from British Airways. She has had a very long career in travel and boasts 24 years of experience. Carrie is a mum to daughter Imy and married during the pandemic to husband J. Carrie loves to cruise as often as she can. She is the fountain of cruise knowledge. She knows the names of many captains and, interestingly, is quite an authority on restaurants and bars on most ships! Kerry has a very big secret…. Despite her bravado she has a huge heart and is one of the kindest people you could ever wish to meet. She is a very proud mum and has been in travel since she was a child. Her specialty is finding incredible deals on land based holidays. Kerry loves events that involve fancy dress and if we dare mention Halloween or Christmas, she wants to know when dress up day is, whether it can be tomorrow and how far can she go before she’s gone too far. Ryan is a lovely young man…not only to us but these are words echoed by so many customers. He studied graphic design at university and worked at Southampton port followed by Carnival before joining us over 2 years ago. He has a delightful girlfriend who he adores and recently became a home owner He is learning to drive. We all love Ryan’s quirky ways. He often bursts into song without any warning! Katie joined us in October and is new to the industry. She came from Southampton Airport where she did almost everything – apart from actually flying aircraft. Joining OWT and learning about the cruise industry must have been quite a journey for Katie especially since she now works with a group of colourful personalities. She is such a lovely lady as she never passes comment – she is so polite! Calan is just 19, he is my youngest son and he joined us from college last summer. Calan is your author and sends you lots of offers from our marketing department. He starts at 6am everyday and spends his afternoons on the golf course. His specialties are unearthing amazing deals and working incredibly fast. Michele Dance, that’s me by the way! I started in travel at 16. I attended college for a year before spending two years with a bus company. Then I spent seven years at Thomas Cook. I set up Ocean World Travel in 1995 in the box room of my semi in Birmingham, that’s nearly 30 years ago! I have two wonderful sons who I adore. Many of you know my mum, Dawn, who I often cruise with. I recently divorced and now solely own Ocean World Travel. As I’m writing this its tricky to give you my best qualities so I will leave it there. I would like to send a heart felt thank you for your support, kind words and lovely gifts.
