Introduction Purpose The main purpose of this project is to create and build an online sales platform for an offline medical supplies store. Basically, it’s like a delivery system for the people who always cannot go to pharmacy stores for medicines.
Scope PharmPlus is a mortar medical supplies supermarket, stocking all kinds of medicines, bandages, injections, etc. They are good at doing things manually, however, they realize the need to modernize in this era of the internet and apps for more sales and widespread business. The aim of this project will be to take the medical supplies store online, which means enabling online sales, and at the same time it will provide capabilities such as Operations Management, Inventory Management, Logistics Management, Invoicing capabilities. System Requirements Functional Requirements Pharmacy information management systems must provide greater functionality than the standalone medication order management systems used today. PIMS will permit multidirectional real-time sharing of order processing information across the process of care. PIMS is tightly integrated for medication order management with enterprise-wide process tracking systems, allowing upstream or downstream providers to access information regarding the status of their order.

The PIMS will support multiple verifications of an order(s) by more than one type of user or multiple users of the same type. Order verification and confirmation would include the process by which the pharmacist confirms the verification of an ordered medication, including any alerts or patient-specific information such as tests, procedures, and labs. Although the alerting systems in future PIMS may play a secondary role, customers must be attentive to how the system manages these alerts to minimize needless communication.

Pharmacy information management systems play a crucial role in the drug administration and documentation processes. These systems need to act as a

middlemen between ordering and medication administration systems by translating what has been ordered into the system, “administrate-able” dose on “to do” list.
Non-Functional Requirements System Availability The basic objective of system availability is to make sure that the needed software are being installed in order to run the online application smoothly without any disturbances or problems. Reliability The Pharmacy system is available based on the user needs, it will work properly and also has a friendly interface for smooth communications. Here the pharmacist employee controls the system for login to the system. Usability Anybody who is familiar with basic concepts of smart phone or windows operations can operate these applications as it is user-friendly and has a good interface communication system. Operation The Pharmacy system is operated and controlled by the pharmacy employee for safe work. Supportability The PIMS operates in any version of windows OS, this system can be easily maintained by the manager of the pharmacy system. By preparing documents of the system for smooth work.

Business Requirements Document: Project Summary The Pharmacy Management system provides functions on identification of medication usages, it will try to reduce human errors as much as possible and facilitate information management among employees, providing medicinal drugs in the pharmacy unit. The system will solve the current system by minimizing time and utilize resources on an optimum level.

The system will be able to control all of the inventory control function. It will allow the pharmacist to receive new batch of drugs and remove the obsolete drugs and modifies, identifies the drug in the database.

PMS should be able to handle dispensation process. It will store all of the physician’s prescriptions of the patients. Basically, a summarized version of drugs given to the patient can be viewed for any kind of purposes.

The pharmacist should be able to monitor every movement of the drugs with ease. The whole system is designed to track the entry/exit of drugs from hospitals/clinics.

While compared to manual system, the PIMS will reduce the time spend for paperwork, concentrating on mostly improving pharmaceutical care of patients, especially patients’ counseling and medication monitoring.

The Pharmacy must generate reports from time to time on information about the drugs, and it exports the information as output document.
