Background
Aragonesas Delsa, S.A. es el primer productor europeo y uno de los principales del mundo de cloroisocianuratos. Con esta línea de fabricación el Grupo Aragonesas refuerza su política de integración industrial, emprendida desde el inicio de su desarrollo empresarial, y consolida su posición en el mercado del tratamiento de aguas, en donde tiene una fuerte y sólida presencia con diversidad de productos, tales como hipoclorito sódico, cloro, clorito sódico, agua oxigenada, etc.
Aragonesas Delsa, S.A. is the major European producer and one of the most important in the world of chlorisocyanurates. With this production line Grupo Aragonesas reinforces its industrial integration policy, embarked upon at the start of its business development, and consolidates its position on the water treatment market, where its presence is strong and solid, with a variety of products, such as sodium hypochlorite, chlorine, sodium chlorite, hydrogen peroxide, etc.
Para la fabricación de cloroisocianuratos, Delsa requiere como materias primas, entre otras, cloro y sosa cáustica, ambos productos suministrados por Aragonesas. La sinergia implicada en este proceso aumenta la competitividad y el grado de integración de las actividades del Grupo.
To manufacture chloroisocyanurates, Delsa requires raw materials such as chlorine and caustic soda. Both of these products are supplied by Aragonesas. The synergy involved in this process increases the competitiveness and the degree of integration of the Group activities.
Desde 1973, año en que inició la producción de cloroisocianuratos, Delsa ha ido evolucionando hacia un proceso completo de fabricación con altos estándares de calidad, reconocidos por el mercado internacional.

Delsa fabrica actualmente sus productos en las nuevas y modernas instalaciones ubicadas en el complejo químico que el Grupo Aragonesas posee en Sabiñánigo (Huesca).
Delsa currently manufactures its products in the new modern installations located in the chemical complex that Grupo Aragonesas has in Sabiñánigo (Huesca).
Las nuevas instalaciones, cuya capacidad conjunta de producción asciende a 21.000 toneladas anuales de ácido tricloroisocianúrico (ATCC) y dicloroisocianurato sódico (DCCNa), han incorporado las mejores técnicas disponibles en el mercado para la regulación y el control de los procesos de fabricación de síntesis, con el fin de optimizar la fiabilidad de la producción y garantizar la calidad de los productos obtenidos.
The new installations, whose overall production capacity amounts to 21,000 tons per annum of trichloroisocyanuric acid (TICA) and sodium dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC), have incorporated the best techniques available on the market to regulate and control the synthesis manufacturing processes, in order to optimise production reliability and guarantee the quality of the products obtained.
El control centralizado de los procesos de fabricación mejora la seguridad de las operaciones. El cloro se alimenta directamente por tubería desde su planta de fabricación, en el mismo centro industrial de Sabiñánigo, hasta las instalaciones de producción de Delsa, lo cual evita los riesgos potenciales de transporte de gas licuado.
The centralised control of the manufacturing processes improves the operation safety. The chlorine is supplied directly by pipes from its manufacturing plant, in the same industrial centre of Sabiñánigo, to the production installations of Delsa, which avoids the potential risks of transporting liquefied gas.

Por otro lado, dentro de la política de integración de procesos industriales, y mediante un desarrollo tecnológico propio, se ha conseguido minimizar el impacto medioambiental de las nuevas instalaciones.
On the other hand, within the industrial process integration policy, and with its own technological developments, it has managed to reduce the environmental impact of the new installations to a minimum.
Asimismo, la planta dispone de un moderno sistema inteligente de almacenamiento específico, dotado de los más avanzados medios, que garantiza el control de calidad de los productos expedidos y la fiabilidad de las entregas.
Furthermore, the plant has a modern and specific smart storage system, equipped with the most advanced means, guaranteeing the quality control of the products shipped and the reliability of the deliveries.
Además de un cualificado equipo de investigación, desarrollo e innovación, el Grupo Aragonesas cuenta con un Departamento de Ingeniería propio que le permite desarrollar sus actividades con gran flexibilidad y dinamismo en el momento de realizar adaptaciones, mejoras o ampliaciones de capacidad de producción.
Apart from a qualified research, development and innovation team, Grupo Aragonesas has its own Engineering Department, which allows it to develop its activities with great flexibility and dynamically when making adaptations, improvements or increases to the production capacity.

La actividad de Delsa consiste en la fabricación y venta en todo el mundo de cloroisocianuratos, que se comercializan en forma de gránulos, polvo, bloques, tabletas y pastillas, así como en diversos tipos de envases. Una parte de su producción se dirige al mercado industrial, distribuyéndose en envases industriales de gran tamaño bajo su correspondiente nombre químico. Otra parte se destina al mercado profesional, en envases listos para su uso, comercializándose bajo las marcas DELSA, AZULI y PISIPUR. Asimismo, la empresa ofrece, con estas mismas marcas comerciales, una amplia gama de productos y preparados auxiliares que se utilizan en el tratamiento de aguas, especialmente en piscinas.
Delsa is engaged in the manufacture and sale of chloroisocyanurates all over the world. This product is sold in granules, powder, block and tablet form, as well as in different types of package. Part of its production is aimed at the industrial market, and is distributed in largesized industrial containers under its relative chemical name. Another part is aimed at the professional market in ready-to-use containers. These are sold under the brand names of DELSA, AZULI and PISIPUR. In addition, with these same brand names, the company offers a wide range of products and auxiliary preparations that are used for water treatment, especially in swimming pools.

This broad and in-depth knowledge of tabletting and conditioning enables Delsa to prepare the "ready for sale programmes, which their customers order to market them with their own brands and presentations.
La compañía dispone, por tanto, de una línea de producción totalmente integrada, que va desde la fabricación del ácido cianúrico y la obtención de ATCC y DCCNa en gránulos y polvo hasta la correspondiente transformación del producto en bloques, tabletas y pastillas.
Therefore, the company has a totally integrated production line, which goes from the manufacture of cyanuric acid and obtaining TICA and SDIC in granules and powder form to the relative transformation of the product in blocks and tablets.

Los productos fabricados por Delsa están homologados por las autoridades sanitarias de España y de otros países. En Estados Unidos de América, sus productos están registrados por la Agencia de Protección Medioambiental (Environmental Protection Agency EPA ) con los números de Registro 66750-1, 66750-2 y 66750-3. Por otro lado, la compañía es miembro activo del Comité de la Industria de Isocianuratos de Estados Unidos (Isocyanurate Industry Ad Hoc Committee) y forma parte del Subgrupo de Notificación y Registro de la Directiva Europea de Biocidas. También es miembro fundador del Subgrupo de Trabajo de Isocianuratos de Euro Chlor (productores europeos de cloro-álcali).
The products manufactured by Delsa have been approved by health authorities of Spain and other countries. In the United States of America its products have been registered by the Environmental Protection Agency EPA with Registration numbers 66750-1, 66750-2 y 66750-3. On the other hand, the company is an active member of the Isocyanurate Industry Ad Hoc Committee of the United States and forms part of the Notification and Registration Sub-group of the European Directive of Biocides. It is also a founding member of the Euro Chlor Isocyanurate Working Sub-group (European alkali chlorine producers).
