PRODUCTS The company is organised into five business areas depending on the type of product. This structure gives us the advantage of offering a wide product range but with dedicated specialist knowledge in each area.

8

PANEL Offering a wide range of premium quality components for use in or on electrical control panels our customers come from a wide range of industries. Our products are often easier to install, more compact, energy efficient and reliable leading to a longer lifetime and lower overall cost.

PRESSURE & FLOW As the name suggests, we focus on components that measure and control the pressure and flow of liquids and gases. Application areas are wide but include mobile hydraulics, water treatment, chemical industry and cooling systems.

SENSORS & SAFETY We provide smart solutions to sensing and position control applications. Photosensors, encoders, connection systems and a comprehensive range of machine safety products form the heart of our product offering.

MACHINE VISION & IDENTIFICATION With Machine Vision cameras from leading manufacturers combined with carefully selected accessories and software including barcode readers, we offer our customers a total machine vision solution.

MOTORS Representing leading brands within the motor, drive and linear solutions sector, we offer a range of high quality products at competitive prices. We also provide full technical and application advice to aid with correct product selection.

9

OUR MANUFACTURERS ARE OUR PARTNERS Our manufacturers work at the forefront of technology and product development; many are market leaders in their specialist areas. Loyalty, partnership and long-term agreements create strong ties which in turn builds reliable and trustworthy relationships. As well as being our manufactuers' best option as a sales channel, we add further value by increasing their brand recognition on the UK market.

ASSEMBLIES

We can provide our customers with a little bit extra in addition to our standard ‘off the shelf’ products. We call this service ‘added value’ and the basic idea is to work with our customers to see if there is any part of their machine where we can help simplify their production. Added benefits are:• Fewer item numbers • More efficient purchases • Simpler logistics • Fewer suppliers • Lower total cost In recent years this has been the biggest area of growth for us and we have expanded our workshop capacity to suit. These workshops enable us to carry out the work on our added value projects in a professional environment.

12

CUSTOMISED SOLUTIONS Sometimes the scope or complexity of the added value work needed is outside our capacity to handle ‘in-house’. In this case we work closely with our manufacturing partners to come up with a bespoke or customised solution. Often we will bring engineers from our manufacturers to our customers site in order to really understand the project and therefore suggest the optimum solution.

PRINTED LITERATURE

Every year our UK technical sales staff make approximately 3,000 customer visits. Why? Because personal meetings are still the most important customer contact we have. They help us to understand our customers’ applications and needs as well as passing on information about new products.

However you contact us, whether by telephone, live chat or email, there is always a helpful person on hand. Our customer support team are ready to answer questions concerning delivery status, price or more general technical questions. They can also register your orders directly onto our system.

Visiting our website you can quickly and easily navigate to comprehensive and up to date product information. You will also find news, product launch information and technical articles. If you register for an account you can see your unique price information, current inventory balance or place your orders directly online.

Social media is no longer something exclusively for leisure. It is a tool for keeping you informed and a forum for asking questions. With our presence on LinkedIn you can stay up to date with product and company news.

Our customer magazine ‘Inside Automation’ is printed and distributed three times per year. It is filled with product news, inspiring customer case studies and interesting articles about industrial automation.

We believe our customers still appreciate printed material so continue to produce brochures and shortform catalogues for many of our products. You can order your copy via our website or by contacting us directly.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

Since 2013, the OEM Group has an overall code of conduct that applies to all of the Group’s companies. The purpose of the code of conduct is that all companies should have a common platform for CSR (corporate social responsibility) related activities. This includes OEM’s responsibility with respect to environmental, ethical and social issues. CODE OF CONDUCT

Our code of conduct is based on the 10 principles within the framework of the UN Global Compact. This code of conduct deals with human rights, labour laws, environmental issues and anti-corruption actions. All Group companies are covered by this code of conduct.

FOLLOW-UP

In order to ensure that we comply with our code of conduct, we constantly monitor all CSR-related activities in board and management meetings across all companies throughout the group. Our employees have an important role in reporting any non-conformity they might encounter.

ENVIRONMENT

Environmental issues are an area of concern within our code of conduct. Transportation has the biggest impact on the environment together with energy consumption in our properties. We strive to minimise this through investing in environmentally friendly solutions like energy efficient ventilation, LED lighting and charging posts for electric cars. Of course our manufacturers consume resources and energy at point of production so, we demand that they follow their statutory environmental commitments.
