MACHINE VISION & IDENTIFICATION Exciting times ahead for OEM Automatic UK MEET THE TEAM Anthony Williams Joining us in October 2019, Anthony has over 20 years of sales, marketing and technical experience in machine vision, most recently as Divisional Technical Director for L3 MacDonald Humfry Automation, one of the UK’s leading system integrators. In January 2020 we opened the doors to OEM’s new Machine Vision Training and Demonstration Lab! The lab focuses on machine vision software, including the latest deep learning technology which allows detection and classification of defects based on sample images rather than traditional vision analysis rules, together with state-of-the-art machine vision cameras and complete machine vision solutions. We can now test customer applications in the lab and offer you a complete solution. The lab isn’t the only change within the Machine Vision & Identification team. In October 2019 we welcomed Anthony Williams as the team’s new Product Manager. In 2020 you will see an expanded OEM machine vision product range. There will be new products from our existing suppliers, plus entirely new product ranges. Oliver Acquah Oliver joined OEM in 2014 and since 2018 has been national sales engineer for the Machine Vision & Identification team. He has a wealth of technical experience and has overseen a substantial growth in machine vision, barcode readers and specialist industrial vehicle camera sales. Oliver provides specialist support to new and existing customers. Gareth Ford Many of you will know Gareth, who has been OEM Automatic’s Business Area Manager for Machine Vision & Identification since 2017. He and OEM go back 19 years to 2001, when he started as a returns technician. He then built up experience in sensors and safety as the Sensors Product Manager, before becoming Business Area Manager in 2010.
