Business idea Our mission is to simplify the design of safety systems for mobile and fixed machines. This we achieve by utilising wireless safety techniques, plug and play, and a safety service to our customers.

Products and systems Our new product, the Safety Simplifier, makes it much easier to make user friendly safety systems. The Simplifier allows safety possibilities to where they are locally required, for example at door entrances where you make the choice for a safety solution, the push buttons you need and trouble shooting information. Machine stop functions can be connected wirelessly through other Safety Simplifiers or direct to an existing safety system.

Using the Simplifier it is easy to expand and change safety systems. Furthermore the safety documentation and the safety values are included.

Experience and co-operations SSP personnel have extensive experience in the design and implementation of safety system solutions. The Safety Simplifier is the first new product developed and design by SSP North AB in cooperation with SSP GmbH. We continue the successful and innovative co-operation from the time in Jokab Safety in Sweden and Germany. Now we are together building up a new global organisation dedicated to the simplification of safety systems and services.

E-stop systems Safety Simplifier

The Simplifier makes it easy to install an E-Stop system which is separated from the machine control system by using safety relay outputs. Simplifier can be connected either by cable or by wireless link.

No safety control cabinet is needed.

ABCDEF GHJ K Each Simplifier can provide safety relay outputs for stop signals to two machines in a system. The relay outputs can also be interconnected in one or more Simplifiers to stop the machines. The power supply to the Simplifiers,10-30 VDC, is easy to separate from the supply to the machines. This way a single machine can be shut off separately without causing an E-Stop to all the other machines. It makes it also simple to install E-Stop solutions for machine systems as no extra control cabinet is needed for additional E-Stop controls.

You can easily add safety functions to old and new safety systems. Just select the safety functions required, for example Door Locking, Time Delayed Un-locking, Safety Mode selection etc and connect the safety outputs to the existing safety system or directly to the machine/machines control system.

Safety systems Safety Simplifier

A combination of up to 16 Safety Simplifiers makes it easy to create a complete safety system with 256 I/O. Just select required configurations directly on each Simplifier or use the computer based Safety Simplifier Manager to download the program.

Safety Simplifier Manager The configured program is downloaded to a Simplifier either using a memory card, a computer or via a wireless link between Safety Simplifier units. Each Simplifier has a unique code to ensure safe communication.

Technical specification Safety Simplifier

Simplifier LED and computer information The Simplifier LED display shows status information for both its own and other Simplifiers (nodes) connected on the system. You select the type of information you require using the touch button on the panel.

• N: Node number and type of nodes in system

• I/O: On/Off status of I/O’s on this and other nodes

• U: Voltage supply to Simplifier and to other nodes

• M: Safety functions status on Simplifier and other nodes

: Communication status to other nodes, quality of radio signal and channel number

• CAN: CAN-communication status to other nodes

The above information can also be obtained wirelessly using our USB-wireless communication stick which listens directly to the communication protocol.

Configuring and exchanging Configuration and exchanging of Safety Simplifiers can easily be achieved by selecting on the Simplifier the following options:

• Node number

• Program/configuration

• Number of Nodes (including repeaters)

Using a memory card or a computer you can also add new programs/configurations. Using the Safety Simplifier Manager you can both configure systems and select different configurations.

Push buttons, selectors, text colours of the Safety Simplifier

0 - 5 holes for push buttons, selectors and indication.

Boxes can be screwed and sealed together in order to provide more pushbuttons/controls.

Exchangeable push button caps for different colours and to cover text labels under the cap.
