Plexal

The challenge

Plexal reached out to us to create a collaborative coworking space in central London that would attract clients in a competitive market.

The design needed to accommodate a variety of work settings, including fixed workstations and areas to support agile working. Being a coworking environment, it was essential to create a durable and future-proof space that was attractive to Plexal’s clients. They also needed to better optimise use of space to provide more and better facilities within the existing floorplate.

The design needed to provide a mixture of creative features to help Plexal stand out in the market, while also catering to practical concerns such as providing the work settings and amenities clients were looking for, managing the acoustics of an open plan environment, and providing accessibility to all users.

The solution

The space we created for Plexal has a strong sense of brand identity throughout, featuring a range of spaces from open plan desking, to breakout facilities, meeting rooms, secure storage and social spaces.

Office Workspace carried out the entire project from new build shell through to a turnkey finish, ready for the client to occupy. We created open plan working spaces, complemented by AV-integrated collaboration spaces and videoconferencing enabled meeting rooms, as well as smart RFID lockers for storage.

We provided workspace consultancy, design, fit-out from core, including all M&E, HVAC, acoustics, partitions and furniture, with brand manifestations and a bespoke reception desk to provide a strong, appealing aesthetic to the space.

Davis Construction

The challenge

The Southend-on-Sea construction experts came to us with a challenge – to design and implement a total office fit-out and reconfiguration, and create fully revitalised and engaging spaces.

Our client is a renowned brand with a clear vision and high expectations from the designers they partner with.

The scope included dedicated and shared workspaces, kitchen and meal areas, washrooms, and a game area. It ranged from implementing graphics in line with branding guidelines, lighting installation, furniture curation, and furniture installation, to managing every aspect of the project from A to Z.

The solution

Our design for Davis Construction involved a range of flexible work areas, curating functional, bold furniture to complement the energy of the space.

We reflected Davis Construction’s a strong brand colour scheme throughout their revitalised office environment, from the breakout spaces to the dedicated, collaborative work zones.

The build phase had a tight timescale, and we delivered a full office refurbishment with 400 pieces of furniture in 22 days. We were excited to see our client’s fresh and conceptual office space come together, a new workspace that not only looks and feels the part but also drives better productivity and performance.

Interconnector

The challenge

Interconnector UK had a vision to create an inclusive work environment that drives productivity and encourage flexible working.

They were keen to incorporate more informal space for collaboration, gatherings and stand up meetings, as well as focus working areas and breakout spaces. This worked exceptionally well with their company culture, as Interconnector encourages their workforce to combine both office work and working from home on a regular basis.

They needed a partner who would not only design and build a space that worked well for them, but could manage the entire project. We also managed and negotiated dilapidation terms, minimising risk and costs with the landlord.

The solution

We worked closely with Interconnector’s relocation team to design a space that exceeded their expectations.

We carefully interpreted the cost analysis of each decision in order to maximise return on investment for the client. Our workplace consultancy and furniture consultancy ensured their new office location was a strategically designed space that enhanced productivity and performance of the workforce.

We were able to complete the entire strip out and new design installation within just 7 weeks, also helping coordinate the move. By the time it came to “move day,” we were delighted to be able to assist Interconnector as they embarked upon their new venture, as our removals team ensured everything went to plan on the day.

Tower Supplies

The challenge

Tower Supplies is an industry leader in PPE and workwear. They needed to bring their office up to date to be in line with their operation.

The business needed an up-to-date, stylish and functional office to be created in their space, with the company maintaining normal operations throughout.

Tower Supplies had already spent time and money with 3 other office design specialists, but on all accounts the designs and solutions previously presented had gone far over their budget, putting the project out of reach.

Through workshops and consultancy we designed a 3-phase project that would give Tower Supplies the facility they required, without interrupting their day-to-day operations, and all within the budget they needed.

The solution

Tower Supplies now has a multifunctional space that meets all of its people’s needs, while also embodying the company’s brand to create a space that people can be proud to work in.

By listening to our client’s needs, and understanding the key importance of staying within budget, our team were able to find creative solutions to give them the space they needed at a price point the company could afford.

We provided a large multi-purpose workspace with kitchen, lunch area, directors’ offices, presentation area with moving partition, washrooms, shower rooms, reception and meeting spaces.

By value engineering the project we were able to provide, within budget, an office with a modern and professional design that reflected the company’s industrial roots.
