Three unlikely friends take control of their office and learn there is nothing they can’t do, even in a man’s world! This madcap comedy is based on the 1980 movie and features music by Dolly Parton. This popular concert will feature a variety of School of Music student ensembles that highlight the diversity of Belmont’s program. ANTIGONE by Ara Vito*

Antigone, a strong and determined woman in Thebes, fights for humanity over King Creon's laws and, in doing so, risks her life. All graduating BFA Theatre majors are required to present a Senior Capstone project designed to help the student transition from Belmont to professional life. Tickets for each show are $5 and are free for Belmont students. Black Box Theater February 10, 11, 15 & 17 at 7:30 p.m. February 11, 12, 18 & 19 at 2 p.m.

THE GOOD WOMEN OF SETZUAN

by Bertolt Brecht* Written during Brecht's exile to the United States and set in pre-Communist China. It is a parable of a young woman torn between obligation and reality, between love and practicality, and between her own needs and those of her friends and neighbors. Troutt Theater February 17, 19, 23, 24 & 25 at 7:30 p.m. February 18, 19 & 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for faculty, staff, alumni and non-Belmont students, and free for Belmont students.

THE AMISH PROJECT by Jessica Dickey*

A fictional exploration of the 2006 West Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. Presented in collaboration with Actor’s Bridge Ensemble. Black Box Theater April 7, 8, 20, 21 & 23 at 7:30 p.m. April 8, 9 & 22 at 2 p.m. Adult tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door; faculty, staff, senior citizens, non-Belmont students are $15 at the door; Belmont students are free on April 8, 9 & 22 (2 p.m. only) and on April 20 (7:30 p.m.)

MIXED BILL XIII

Thirteenth annual dance production featuring the Belmont University Dance Company and highlighting choreography by Belmont faculty and students.
