transfer 101 • fall 2014 Belmont University is proud to be one of the top private university destinations for transfer students in the state of Tennessee. These students bring to campus a wide variety of experience and accomplishments, including church leadership roles, student body administration and athletic team leadership. While all of our 80+ academic programs enroll transfer students, the School of Music, the School of Nursing and the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business welcome the most. Of course, you want to know which credits will transfer, right? Generally speaking, previous coursework is accepted for transfer as long as they are college level (not remedial or developmental), academic (not vocational/technical) and not freshman orientation or freshman seminar courses. For more information on our transfer academic policies, please visit belmont.edu/transfer.

“One of my favorite things about Belmont has to be the gorgeous campus. Or What’s Bruin…I seriously go there every day for snacks (embarrassing I know). And I loved my Elementary Spanish I teacher, Dr. Julseth. He cares so much about his students and really wanted us to succeed; he really has a great gift for teaching.”

“I was first attracted to Belmont because of its unique location and its strong academic programs. Belmont also has small class sizes, where I could truly know my professor on a personal level and that was something I was looking for in my college search.”
