Ancient Greece

On this day there was much to celebrate.

Let us not forget our past, for our future depends on it. Now drink, eat, and celebrate our victory.

After the Titans were defeated, Zeus took his rightful place as ruler.

My brothers and sisters! Today we rejoice.

Father, Arges would like a word.

My friend, welcome.

Come in, join us in our celebration.

The Shield of Aegis.

As a thank you for freeing us, we offer you this shield and the power it holds.

Brother, surely you can accept a gift, can’t you?

What are we celebrating? You taking over our throne? Brothers, today is the day for celebrating not for fighting.

Not until we take what is OURS!

Modern Day. Athens, Greece. Okay so, we have been here now for almost a month  and all they have found are some old vases. School never looked so good before.

I will miss Nicolaus though, he is fun to hang out with at the farmer’s market, and he’s cute. ♥ These are some of the best tasting grapes I have ever had. 

♫ ♪ ♫ ♪

Alexis! Help me pull your mother up!

I might go to the farmer’s market to see if Nicolaus is around, if that’s okay?

Be sure you are back before sundown. Who’s Nicolaus, Alexis?

I know you’re leaving soon, and thought it would help you remember me... I mean us, when you’re gone.

Giagia´ thought that you might like this necklace, I did too.

Hey, Nicolaus.

Hello Alexis? It’s beautiful Nicolaus. Thank ´ you, giagia.

Nai, ’ giagiA.* (Yes, grandma)

’ Ela pio ’ kontA. (Come Closer)

’ YpArchei megAl ’ ’ dYnam stin paliA ’ psychi sas. (There is great power in your old soul.)

*Translated from Greek I’m sorry, Nicolaus, I don’t understand.

Einai to Ena.

She says that you are “THE ONE”.

(She is the one.)

Did she just say…

Zeus locked away the Shield of Aegis. he sent the pieces of the medallion key across Greece so his brothers would never be in control of the power that it possesses.

Only ‘the one’ can open the box and hold the shield. And she thinks I am ‘the one’?

It was to protect it from the hands of Gods who would use it for evil and not protection.

Hades is going to reward us this time.

Ancient Greece

Hermes!!!

Yes, father.

Quickly, My Son bring this to Arges.

As you Wish, Father.

Hermes, wait here.

Arges, I have a message from Zeus!

Hermes, take me to Zeus.

Can’t you move any faster?

Okay, we will take our time.

We came straight from the forge, father.

I have no idea what my broters are planning, but if they are after thie shield nothing good can come of it.

The box is protected by a scripture only ‘the one’ can read on the medallion necklace.

Not even a God should hold this much power.

They will not stop until they have this power.

Hermes you mustn’t tell anyone what you are about to do.

Take these three bags and scatter them across Greece. Let no one see you.

Quick as lightening, HErmes.

Zeus created all the natural phenomena related to the air and the sky.

He was also the protector of the people, and watched over the welfare of the whole community.

Sorry, didn’t mean it make you jump. What are you reading?

Nicolaus gave me a book today, his grandma is convinced that I am “THE ONE”.

You know, Greek Mythology has been a big part of their culture for centuries. That’s why we are here. Trying to separate fact from myth.

I know this is not what you had in mind for your summer, but this means a lot to mom and me. I know. I’m just tired.

With the help from his brothers, Hades and Poseidon, Zeus overthrew his father, Cronus.

It came out of nowhere. A huge storm, bigger then I have ever seen.

It has been nothing but blue skies here. No storms on the radar in days.

I am you this storm was HUGE! It had to be the biggest storm I had ever seen.

Island of Crete Port Crete

Please tell me, we are at least staying in a hotel tonight.

Later the day. Crete hotel So much has happened in the last week. I don’t know where to begin. After we boarded the ship…

I swear I saw a face in the waves. Is that crazy? We are safe now thanks to the EU.

We lost almost everything. We are staying at a hotel until we can get new equipment and camping gear.

The strange thing is the only two things of mine to survive was that necklace you gave me and the book. Crazy, right?

His weapon was a trident, with which he could make the earth shake, causing earthquakes, and the sea rage in fury.
