INTRODUCTION This visual guide is a support documentation to help you to understand and to respect those return conditions. The most typical forms of damage to commercial vehicles are well defined within this guide and clearly illustrated. While some wear and tear is inevitable, much can be avoided with some forethought and unexpensive precautions. Lack of attention to daily checks (oil, water, tyres, lights and wheels), in addition to driver abuse or negligence, are the main reasons for vehicles suffering excessive wear and tear. Acceptable or not acceptable conditions depend on the age of the vehicle. This document is applicable for every returning vehicles, regardless of the age of the vehicle. Pictures in this document are taken from vehicle of 3 years old, with mileage around 450.000 Km. For more information or details about your contract or the content of this visual guide, please contact your Renault Trucks sales manager by phone at +00 00 00 00 00 and ask to be put in touch with the used vehicle administration service, or by email at something@renault-trucks.com

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS All electrical and mechanical items must be in full working order. Returning vehicles must be free from any mechanical, electronic and hydraulic defects. Each vehicle must be returned fully compliant with all legislative requirements and have the stipulated unexpired Technical Control certificate as described in the contract, and in line with the local regulations. The vehicles’ usage must comply with their initial configuration and with what they have been defined for. Periodic maintenance operations must be carried out by professionals in accordance with the vehicle maintenance instructions book. Fair wear and tear should not be confused with damage which occurs as a result of a specific event or series of events such as impact, inappropriate stowing of items, harsh-treatment, negligent acts or omissions.
