We, the Jury
A jury always constructs a show on its thematic framework. When that framing shifts and expands with an evolving theme, as it did with SUMMER SOLSTICE — taking on more import, as artists embraced the idea of signaling the dire implications of climate change — the jury members must then respond with creativity and smart decision-making. Such was the task our jury rose to as the architects of this wonderful show. We are grateful for their time, expertise and nimble thinking!

A funny thing happened on the way to our 17th Annual Summer Juried Exhibition.
What began as a redux of SUMMERTIME, our popular 2015 outing, quickly turned into a closer cousin to recent activist-minded juried shows, such as 2016’s SAVE THE WORLD and 2017’s RESIST.
