Involvement Fair January 12th, 2017 The Involvement Fair is a special event during Seminole Sensation week that showcases the various student organizations at FSU to help students get involved. A total of 274 student and university organizations registered for the Involvement Fair, 28 cancelled their registration or did not show up, and 7 organizations were on the waitlist. The 2017 Fall Involvement Fair was held on Thursday, January 12th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Oglesby Union Courtyard and Green. A total of 105 surveys were completed by participants. A total of 281 organizations were present at the Involvement Fair. The event ran smoothly and everyone was able to read the maps provided. There was little traffic toward the end of the fair which could have been due to the length or that students have already found ways to get involved. The feedback from the Involvement Fair was mostly positive. The Involvement Fair for 2017 was an overall success with a record number of organizations and students participating. Attendee Highlights:  Most students who completed the survey were freshmen (48%), female (61%), reside offcampus (58%), and were members of a recognized student organization (70%).  The respondents came to the event to meet new people and socialize (31%), to learn about campus activities (30%), and to enjoy the event (28%).  Students heard about the event through Nole Central (37%), the CORQ App (19%), from the dining hall tent (14%), and flyers (14%).  The majority of students surveyed said that they will join an RSO they visited (74%). Participation Highlights:  Most students who completed the survey were Recognized Student Organizations (81%), University Department (15%), Academic Program (3%), and other (1%).  84% organizations participated before at the involvement fair.  Organizations had certain amount of students interact with their table, less than 20 students (18 organizations), 20-40 students (28 organizations), 40-60 students (14 organizations), and 60-100+ (14 organizations)  Respondents rated their experience satisfied and above with the following aspects on the fair Communication (88%), Check in Process (87%), Time/Day of Program (93%), Length of Program (84%), and Marketing/Branding (62%).  Interaction with organizations was the top strength of the event, and organization of the table placements.  Improvement in advertising and marketing was highly vocalized by participants.  Additional comments expressed both positive feedback on organization of the event and developing a better system for check-in process.
