General Information Parking We have three beach parking lots, all accessing the same wonderful long beach! Main Beach, Footbridge Beach and North Beach all charge a daily flat fee and by the hour. There are several additional lots around town that charge by the hour. There is free short-term parking at Jacobs Lot, Upper Lot, and on the street. Visit Ogunquit.org/parking for a map and parking rates.

2022 Calendar of Events

April 23-May 7 Splash into Spring offers a host of activities throughout town, such as scavenger hunts, kids’ crafts, concerts, a patriotic pooch pageant, an artisan craft fair and food-related fun.

June 11 BonAire showcases Ogunquit’s unique history and today’s culture with live music all day on a downtown stage and activities throughout the community celebrating local crafts, local food and local heritage.

Oct. 1-31 Fall for Ogunquit all month long, and enjoy OgunquitFest (Oct. 22-23) featuring a classic car show, huge craft fair, children’s activities, Halloween-themed events, and the Dogtoberfest costume parade, plus the unique High Heel Dash. Courtney Haldeman photo 8 | www.ogunquit.org

June 1-5 Ogunquit Pride kicks off with a flag raising in Veteran’s Park, followed by a community BBQ. Activities throughout the weekend salute the legacy of the LGBTQ+ community in Ogunquit.

July 4 An impressive July 4th Fireworks display is shot from the Main Beach Parking Lot. Music and dancing occur before and after the fireworks.

Dec. 9-11 Christmas by the Sea welcomes the holiday season. This event brings tree lightings, concerts, craft shows, children’s activities, a parade, bonfire, fireworks, and, of course, Santa.

Getting to Ogunquit, getting around Ogunquit Ogunquit is an easy reach from I-95, just 7 miles up Route 1 from Exit 7. And although most of our guests arrive by car, you can get to Ogunquit from Boston or Boston Logan Airport via the Amtrak Downeaster train to the Wells Transportation Center, and then link to Ogunquit via the Shoreline Explorer or local taxi or car hire. C&J Bus Lines also offers service to Portsmouth, NH, and may re-open its seasonal bus service directly to Ogunquit. Check out our Transportation listings on Page 28.

If you’re headed to the beach, here’s an important thing to know: we have one beach, with three different parking areas. The Main Beach parking lot is very popular, due to its proximity to

our bathhouse and carry-out food venues. The Footbridge Beach and North Beach parking lots are farther north along the beach, and offer more affordable parking rates, but fewer amenities. Lower Lot is another beach parking lot option and is a short walk from the Main Beach parking lot. For information, visit ogunquit.org/parking.
