Diane Brown owns Brown Valley Farm LLC and operates Franklin View Farms LLC in partnership with her daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Aaron Kampfer. Together, they manage a 475-acre hay, grain, and cattle operation. Diane has extensive experience in the agricultural industry, having dairy farmed for 17 years and then converted primarily to a hay operation.

Currently, Diane is a board member of the Columbiana County Farm Bureau, an officer of the Columbiana County Dairy Boosters, and a 4-H volunteer. She is the high school youth minister at St. John the Evangelist Church, where she also is the president of the finance council. Diane spends the balance of her professional time as a self-employed computerized accounting consultant.

Diane has been a Carroll Electric member since 1984 and a cooperative trustee since 2014. She has achieved the Director’s Gold certification.

Diane believes her role as a trustee is to oversee the business activities of the cooperative, such that its financial condition shall continue to be sound and secure in providing economical and reliable electric services. She believes that the cooperative should be the source of information for solar power, electric storage, electric vehicles, and other technological advancements. She believes the biggest challenges for the co-op are staying informed of legislative climate policies and how they affect our electric grid and then being proactive in communicating with legislators the effect of these energy policies on our cooperative and members.
