YOUR 2023 BOARD CANDIDATES
Earlier this year, each Tricounty member in Districts I and 6 was mailed a notice containing information on how to be considered as a candidate for trustee. The following candidates have declared their willingness to serve if elected and have been certified as eligible for election. Watch for your election ballot arriving by mail this month.
District 1
Marvin Green and his wife, Angie, reside on County Road 5 in Swan Creek Township. Marvin is the utility relocation coordinator for the Ohio Department of Transportation and is ground source heat pump-certified. He is a volunteer at the Martin Luther King kitchen for the poor and a former trustee for Delta United Methodist Church, where he maintained the building and grounds and provided financial statements on church investments. Marvin is an active Fulton County Fair Board director and enjoys gardening, yard work, and raising a few show calves of his own. Marvin has served as the District I trustee since 2015, currently serves as the board president, and is eligible for re-election.
District 6
Ted Guelde and his wife, Deb, live in Bartlow Township, Henry County. They are the parents of three children and have nine grandchildren. Ted graduated from Patrick Henry High School, received a BSME from Ohio Northern University, and achieved his Professional Engineer’s license. He held various engineering positions during his career at Johns Manville in Defiance, Ohio, and was plant manager for four years while working there. After leaving Johns Manville, he spent eight years as a part-time engineer in an engineering firm in Maumee. He is retired now, farms with his son and grandsons, and enjoys playing golf. He also serves as a board member of the Hamler State Bank.
Gary Haas resides on County Road 6 in Richfield Township, Henry County, and has two children. He has been a Tricounty member for more than 25 years and wants to serve on the board to have a voice on items that will keep the cooperative successful. Gary graduated from Bowling Green High School and has worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation for the past six years. He previously served as the Local 1076 union steward and was actively involved in contract negotiations. Gary enjoys farming, water skiing, and snowmobiling, and basically loves all outdoor activities.
