 Seal air leaks to prevent heat from escaping and cold air from entering your home.  Use timers indoors and out to give your decorations—and your electric bill—a break.

 Switch to a smart thermostat and save up to 15% on energy costs.  Open blinds and curtains during the day to allow sunlight in to warm your home. Close blinds and curtains at night to keep out cold, drafty air.  Switch to LED lights. They stay cool, use up to 80% less energy than traditional bulbs, and reduce the risk of fi re.  Lower your water heater temperature to 120 degrees to prevent scalding and save energy.  Avoid running cords under rugs or in places where pets might be tempted to chew.
