Ballard and Knippen win Youth
Tour leadership trip to D.C.

Henry Ballard from Cecil, Ohio, attends Hicksville High School and is the son of Scott and Angela Ballard. Braden Knippen of Fort Jennings, Ohio, is the son of Joseph and Michelle Knippen. Both have won a spot on Youth Tour, an all-expenses-paid, weeklong trip to Washington, D.C., with 1,600 electric cooperative high school students from around the nation, to visit some of the capital’s most famous sites and meet Congressional representatives.

The annual trip takes place in June and is not your average trip to the capital. This résumé-boosting experience is unforgettable, and past delegates have said the impact is indescribable (including the friendships they forged). High school sophmores and juniors are elegible to apply each spring.

Allison Noggle of Haviland, daughter of Erica and Matt Noggle, was selected as an alternate delegate.
