Installing actions in PSE 6 * Download and save the action files . * Click on the folder PSE 6. * You will see 2 files, one ending in the .ATN and one ending in .PNG * Select the all .ATN and PNG files and copy them into the Photo Effects folder following this path: Oh So Posh Actions

* WINDOWS XP
■ Start Menu/ My Computer/C Drive/Documents and Settings/All users/ Application Data /Adobe/Photoshop Elements/6.0/Photo Creations/Photo Effects ■
If you don’t see Application Data make sure it’s not hidden. Go to Start/Control Panel/Classic View/Folder Options/View - select Show Hidden Files and Folders
WINDOWS VISTA
■ Start Menu/Computer/C Drive/Program Data (NOT THE SAME AS PROGRAM FILES)/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/6.0 /Photo Creations/Photo Effects ■ Make sure Program Data is not hidden. To check go to Start and put “folder options” in the “search proms and files”. Go and click the VIEW tab in the Folder Options dialog box. Click SHOW HIDDEN FILES, FOLDERS, DRIVES ****************************************************************************** If you can’t see your actions you will have to delete the MediaDatabase.db3 life. Here are the instructions on how to do that: ■ Go to System Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/ 9.0 / Locale/ en_US ■ Rename the Mediadatabase.db3 to MediadatabaseOLD.db3

■ Close Elements and restart it. If it’s taking a while to restart you know you install the actions correct since Elements will take a while to rebuild a new database with the new actions.
MAC Installing path for PNG and ATN FILES
■ Finder/System Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/6.0/Photo Creations/Photo Effects ■ There are two libraries on Macs make sure you go to the the one from your hard drive System Library ■ Now go back to System Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/ 9.0 / Locale/ en_US ■ Rename the Mediadatabase.db3 to MediadatabaseOLD.db3 ■ Close Elements and restart it. If it’s taking a while to restart you know you install the actions correct since Elements will take a while to rebuild a new database with the new actions. MAC installing path for XML Files ■ Finder/System Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/6.0/Locale/en_US/Photo Creations Metadata/Photo Effects ■ Restart Elements ■ In the Effects palette, click on the Layer Styles icon (2nd icon) ■ Then click on the Photo Effects icon (3rd icon). ■ Your new action should be in Photo Effects under its Bohemian Symphony Category ■ If you don’t find your new action follow this path ■ System Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/ 9.0 / Locale/ en_US and rename the Mediadatabase.db3 to MediadatabaseOLD.db3 ■ Restart elements.
