Ilva products were born in 1946, in Brianza, northern Italy, worldwide known as a district of excellence in woodworking and furniture. The fame of this area dates back to the late 1700s, when many artisanal craftsmen began to grow and  ourish in manufacturing high quality furnishings for the Villa Reale of Monza and the emerging Milanese bourgeoisie. Between 1945 and 1960, in the post-war period, it became the center of the great development of the European Furniture Industry. The companies have grown, maintaining their attention to quality and detail unchanged, and currently they are universally recognized as a reference for quality and innovation. Their techni

cal skills combine with design skills: they have started collaborating with architects and designers, ones among the most important in the world, to experiment innovative ideas together. From its birth, Ilva Polimeri began to co-operate the various business realities in the woodfurniture sector to understand their needs, expectations and to study how to support them in their growth path; in the wood-furniture sector to understand their needs, expectations and to study how to support them in their growth path. Proud to contribute to the diffusion of their fame in the world, IlvaPolimeri started a research for innovative products to protect and beautify wood and to make the coating process faster, simpler, and more efficient. In 1970, IlvaPolimeri was acquired by IVM Group, a multinational company operating in the field of wood coatings, founded by Adriano Teso and Massimo Milesi. Nowadays, the Group manages and controls directly all Ilva, Milesi and CromaLacke products.

The Company’s pride is Ilva’s plant, located in Italy, near Pavia: over 15 hectares have become an international reference point for excellence in sustainability, production, efficiency, logistics and innovation, so much so that it has been reported by the Chinese Republic as a pilot plant to host the visit of a government delegation.
