Beverly K. Brayton

Retired Teacher Stanley-Boyd School District Catawba, WI

Catawba, WI — Beverly K. Brayton is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Woman of Influence in the Education field, acknowledging her work with the StanleyBoyd School District.

Ms. Brayton retired in 2003 after 32 years of teaching. She started teaching ninth through 12th grades, then eighth through 12th grades, and finished her career teaching seventh through 12th graders. She enjoyed teaching and making a difference in her students’ lives. She still keeps in touch with many of them.

Ms. Brayton earned her Associate’s degree in business at North Central Technical College and a Bachelor’s degree in business education and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. During her career as an educator, she was a teacher in the school district of Stanley-Boyd.

After retiring, Ms. Brayton and her husband moved back to her hometown in Price County, WI. She then got involved with many local organizations. In the state of Wisconsin, she has performed genealogical research at The Price County Historical Society Museum in Fifield and The Jump River Valley Historical Society Museum in Catawba. Hosting two different schoolhouses, the Greenfield School Museum in Fifield and the Ohrstrom Old Log School at the Price County Fairgrounds in Phillips, she has researched schools of the past and one-room schoolhouses. Ms. Brayton is a member of the local Czech-Slovak community organization, the Wisconsin Retired Educators Association, the Price County Retired Educators Association, and the Price County Historical Society. She is Chairman of Jump River Valley Historical Society and Treasurer of Price County Genealogical Society.

In 2011, Ms. Brayton was named Citizen of the Year by the Phillips Chamber of Commerce. She also received a 2019 Outstanding Contributor Award for her Price County Fair volunteer work.

In her spare time, Ms. Brayton enjoys spending time with her two children and three grandchildren and keeping busy with her many community activities.

Jack J. Kasulis

Retired Professor Emeritus University of Oklahoma Norman, OK

Norman, OK — Jack J. Kasulis is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Professor in the Higher Education field and in acknowledgment of his status as a Retired Professor Emeritus at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Kadulis has served in many administrative positions at Price College at the University of Oklahoma. He has 45 years of experience and recently retired two years ago. During the duration of his career in academia, he served three terms as Associate Dean, Director of the MBA Program, Director of the Division of Management, Director of the CBA Certificate Program, Director of CBA Executive Programs, and CBA Coordinator of Advanced Programs in Business.

Before embarking on his professional path, the professor received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University. He earned an MBA and a B.S. degree in Marketing from the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Kasulis has been active in national management education associations. He has been Chair of the board of trustees of the Graduate Management Admission Council and has served that organization in various capacities, including being Vice Chair of the board of trustees and Chair of the Research and Test Development Educational Programs, Trusteeship, and Strategic Planning Committees.

He has also served on committees of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business and the Association of Directors of Doctoral Programs in Business, and the National Advisory Panel on Graduate Management Education Innovation.

Among his professional memberships and affiliations, Dr. Kasulis belongs to the Oklahoma Higher Education Heritage Society.

Kimberly Ann Surgeon

Owner English for You ESL School Monahans, TX

Monahans, TX — Kimberly Ann Surgeon is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Professional in the U.S. Citizenship Preparation field and in acknowledgment of her work as Owner of English For You ESL School.

With more than 30 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Surgeon has excelled as the owner, teacher and tutor with English for You since 2012. From 2009-2020, she served as a teacher of English Second Language at Odessa College.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Surgeon pursued an education at the University of Texas at San Antonio, from which she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Interdiciplinary Studies. In addition to this academic accomplishment, she obtained her lifetime certification in English as a Second Language and bilingual education. She overall has obtained at least 20 years of teaching grades K-6

Attributing her success to her stellar communication and networking skills as well as transparency, she is incredibly proud of helping her hundreds of students reaching their dreams of becoming US citizens.

Ms. Surgeon has a treasure chest full of stories to tell of her experiences teaching future citizens. Many students have told her that they hold a special place in their heart after all she has done. Ms. Surgeon takes the time to get to know her students on many levels, as they have truly grown with her. Students have flourished living in the United States, as they have excelled in their knowledge in the English language.

Pamela Seroka

Community Youth Development Program Director The Children’s Center Inc. Houston, TX

Houston, TX — Pamela Seroka is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Executive in the Youth Development field, acknowledging her work with The Children’s Center, Inc.

Bolstered by over four decades of professional experience, Ms. Seroka has cultivated a fulfilling career in the field of youth development. Since 1995, she has operated as the community youth development program director at the Children’s Center, Inc. where she writes grants and develops and implements programs to assist at-risk youths. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Seroka gained considerable leadership expertise while serving as a child care worker, special education teacher, and principal with the Devereux Treatment Network from 1980 to 1994. She began her career operating as a research assistant with the Transitional Living Program.

Before beginning her vocational journey, Ms. Seroka pursued a formal education at Arizona State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1981 and a Master of Special Education in special populations, special education, and teaching in 1984. She subsequently continued her studies between 1992 and 1993 at the University of Houston at Clear Lake, where she completed coursework in educational leadership and administration.

To commemorate her commitment to the field, Ms. Seroka was previously recognized with the Community Partner Award by the Sea Star Base Galveston.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, she is also well regarded as a civic-minded citizen, volunteering at children’s centers and participating in extensive community outreach.

Rebecca Boudreau

Teacher/Owner Learning for Success Ellsworth, ME

Ellsworth, ME — Rebecca Boudreau is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Trusted Teacher in the Education field, acknowledging her professional excellence as a teacher and the owner of Learning for Success.

Ms. Boudreau is a respected teacher and the owner of Learning for Success, an educational center in Ellsworth, ME. She launched her business in April 2021. She has been teaching since 2001. Her learning center provides one-on-one tutoring (both in-person and online), small group learning, community involvement opportunities, homeschooling cohorts, online homeschooling, and more. Ms. Boudreau loves teaching, and when the pandemic caused the world to go to virtual learning, she saw that there was a way to make this work permanently. She has Multiple Sclerosis (MS), so when teachers and children started to slowly go back to in-person learning, she feared it might not be the best situation for her health. Ms. Boudreau has created curriculums for homeschooled children and provides a safe place for them to meet for educational experiences. She has found this to be very rewarding, not only for her but also for the students with whom she works.

“Since I was a little girl growing up in Ellsworth and attending the Ellsworth Schools, I knew I wanted to be a teacher,” Ms. Boudreau recalls. “I used to steal chalk from my teachers’ chalkboard trays, so I could have my own classroom at home. I attended school all day and would play school at home in my free time. Since I always planned to become a teacher, I was consistently aware of how my teachers made me feel. I learned that the good teachers were the ones who were willing to laugh with me, see me as an individual, and care about me beyond my grades.”

Ms. Boudreau has implemented these assessments and criteria throughout her own profession. She strives to build a strong rapport with her students and their parents. And, she views the education of young people as a collaboration. Her mantra is a quote from Roosevelt: “People do not care what you know until they know that you care.”

“After all, we are a team in this endeavor,” Ms. Boudreau continues. “The good teachers (in my experience) were also the ones who mastered the subject area and always wanted to learn more and could admit when they didn’t know the answer. I have said to almost every student I have taught that education is the one thing that can’t be taken from you. Society can take away your character, dignity, and integrity. Once it is learned and earned, education is yours forever.”

In pursuit of higher education, Ms. Boudreau earned her Master’s degree in Secondary Education at Grand Canyon University, and she is currently working on her Doctorate (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership online at Capella University. Recently, Ms. Boudreau has been inducted into The International Society of Female Professionals and The National Society of Leadership and Success.

During her free time, Ms. Boudreau mostly loves spending time with her family, which includes her husband and three children, ages 14, 16, and 19. In addition, she enjoys traveling, reading, writing, and spending time near the ocean.

Susan C. Wainwright

Teacher Novi Community School District Novi, MI

Novi, MI — Susan C. Wainwright is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Trusted Teacher in the Education field, acknowledging her professional excellence as an educator with the Novi Community School District.

With 20 years of experience in the field of education, Ms. Wainwright is a respected teacher in the Novi Community School District, headquartered in Novi. MI. She has expertise in teaching students in the gifted program, as a staff development consultant, working with students in fifth and sixth grades, and educating students in science and language arts.

In pursuit of higher education, Ms. Wainwright earned her Bachelor’s degree at Alma College, a private liberal arts college in Alma, MI. She earned her Master’s degree at Michigan State University.

During her free time, Ms. Wainwright engages in volunteering, contributing to Habitat for Humanity, and helping provide food for the homeless in her local community.

Ronnie R. Hector

Executive Director SUNY Bronx Educational Opportunity Center Bronx, NY

Bronx, NY — Ronnie R. Hector is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Respected Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director for his professional excellence in Academia and in acknowledgment of his work with the State University of New York (SUNY) Bronx Educational Opportunity Center.

With 30 years of experience, Mr. Hector serves as the Executive Director and Chief Executive/ Academic Officer of the SUNY Bronx Educational Opportunity Center (EOC). He has been in this role for four years, providing direction and visionary leadership toward achieving the institution’s mission. Mr. Hector is responsible for all aspects of the center’s operations, including instruction, student support services, facility management, personnel, and fiscal affairs.

In collaboration with Bronx Community College and SUNY University Center for Academics and Workforce Development (UCAWD), Mr. Hector spearheads the execution of relocation efforts and the strategic redevelopment of academic, career, and technical programs at a future new site. Reporting directly to the college president, he collaborates with SUNY’s UCAWD and the directors of other EOCs statewide.

Mr. Hector has professional expertise in working with political officials and raising capital for SUNY Bronx EOC while looking at employment needs. He develops positive external relationships with the center’s advisory council, civic and business organizations, governmental agencies, corporate entities, and community-based organizations to promote and advance the center. In addition, Mr. Hector provides center-wide leadership for developing business and industry partnerships. He develops and implements programs and services to meet the needs of residents and businesses in the Bronx and New York City. He also manages a budget of nearly five million dollars annually.

In pursuit of higher education, Mr. Hector went to several universities to obtain his degrees, including a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Medgar Evers College. He then completed his Master’s in Higher Education at Ashford University and a Master’s in Education Counseling at Alfred University. He is expected to earn his Ph.D. in Higher Education, Leadership, and Counseling from North Central University in March 2023.

Among his professional accolades and awards, Mr. Hector has received a New York City and State Organization Award for the 100 Most Respected New Yorkers to Help New Yorkers. He was also recently featured in a Bronx Community College article (April 2022).

Mr. Hector considers developing his reputation as his most significant career accomplishment. He attributes his success to his grandmother, who guided him and his family on education, and his college advisors. Looking to the future, Mr. Hector intends to continue his stellar leadership and hopes to become a college president.
