Administering Essential Oils Internally to Animals Put into a capsule a nd mix with feed.

With large animals, the animal’s bottom lip can be pulled out and the animal will feel the effect quickly because capillaries in the lip will carry the oil into the bloodstream immediately.

When treating animals with essential oils internally, make certain the oils are pure and free of chemicals, solvents and adulterants. We only recommend Young Living Essential Oils for your animals and pets.

Animals That May Be Jittery or Resistant to Essential Oils Apply Peace & Calming, Idaho Balsam Fir and/or Valor on yourself first.

As you approach the animal, it will react when it smells the aroma.

Kneel down or squat beside the animal and remain still for several minutes.

As the animal breathes in the fragrances, it will become calmer and easier to manage.

Cats and Essential Oils •

Caution should be taken when using oils high in phenols, such as; Oregano, Clove, Thyme, Cinnamon, Mountain Savory, and Tarragon. These oils should be used in high rates of dilution (90%) and the diluted oils should be applied to the paws.

Watch for signs of the oils being too strong, such as; squinting eyes, confusion, extreme sleepiness, disorientation, vomiting, acting drunk, or extremely violent. If any of these occur, dilute immediately with V6 oil.
