HandyMen R' Us

is very pet friendly! Founder Vic Vickers has three ShiTzus (Maggie, Gracie, Abbie) and a rescued mutt, Daisy.

The nearly 20 years we’ve been in business, we’ve put in a lot of pet doors and fences for our pet-loving customers.

“Vic’s fantastic Handymen built a beautiful custom iron gate & installed a stockade fence at our new home in Lincoln Terrace. They made sure our three Big Baby Dogs were safe & secure during the fence fabrication, then installed it perfectly! Now our home looks beautiful, complete & secure, while our dogs have a stylishly protected yard all thanks to Vic & his amazing craftsmen. It has been our pleasure to work with them, & we highly recommend their handy-work!” —Maggie Howell, Owner of Aunt Pittypat’s Catering

Read other customer reviews at our web site www.handymanokc.com. Here’s what Linda Edmondson (wife of our former Attorney General) had to say: “My husband Drew and I have used Handymen ‘R’ Us for more than fifteen years. Their work is professional and long-lasting. They provide an estimate before the work is started, and it doesn’t change. Payment is not expected until the task is completed satisfactorily. I’ve never hesitated to let the workmen in my house, even when I was gone.” — Linda Edmondson

By being able to do all your home remodeling and repairs, Handymen R’ Us becomes your “One Source” for all your needs. Vic, a recent graduate of the 24-hour Angie's List CAPS (Certified Aging In Place Super Service Specialist) course jointly developed by Award Winner AARP and the National Homebuilders 2009, 2010, Association is one of only a few, to date, & 2011 earning the designation. Vic says “We help our seniors stay in their own homes by making them safe, secure, and beautiful.”

Bonnie with her people, Brent & Trisha Clark

It was only a few years ago that Brent & Trisha Clark had never considered reading an ingredient list on a bag of dog food. Even if they had, they would not have known if it was good or bad. When their young Pug, Bonnie, began licking her paws and chewing her feet, they decided to go one simple step beyond the common practice of frequent shots at the vet. They did their homework and found there was a ton of information available; it just never occurred to them to look for it. What they ultimately discovered was that Bonnie had a severe allergy to grain. Grains like corn & wheat are in just about every brand of dog food at grocery stores and big box stores. With a little research they located a good food and in a couple of weeks all of Bonnie’s symptoms disappeared. Brent and Trisha's experience inspired them to open A1 Pet Emporium at May & Britton Road in NW OKC and will be celebrating their third year in business in February 2013 at their new larger location!

Brent & Trisha work closely with local Pet Rescues, and they have spent countless hours learning about pet nutrition. Their primary mission is to help consumers learn about good food choices for dogs and cats. None of their food brands contain any corn, wheat, by-products, or artificial colors. Some consumers have come to consider A1 Pet Emporium to be “Oklahoma’s Authority on Healthy Nutrition for Dogs and Cats”. They have an extensive selection of brands and types of foods that cannot be found at your local grocer. A1 is a specialty store, but that does not mean that they are expensive. They have high quality foods, treats and other items at very reasonable prices. They also offer a “Rewards Program” and free food samples. If your furry friend is suffering from food related allergies, or even if it's just finicky, visit A1 Pet Emporium today!
