It emphasizes practical approaches and solutions to gardening situations and problems encountered by both the novice gardener and grounds maintenance personnel. Recommended for students with no prior knowledge of plants or horticulture, and also for persons already in the horticulture industry who deal with ‘home garden’ issues on a regular basis - eg. Garden Centre and Grounds who wish to take their gardening techniques to the next level.

Resource Road Light Truck Driver Training This hands-on practical driver training course, offered in partnership with Overlanding BC, is ideal for new or experienced drivers who want or need to operate a vehicle off highway for recreation or in industries such as mining, forestry, silviculture, infrastructure management, wildfire, wardens or park rangers. Based in the field, this training covers the safe operation of light trucks, pre and post trips, vehicle systems, dynamic driving, emergency manoeuvres, resource road radios, road structure, vehicle safety, the psychology of safe driving, load securement, light self-recovery, negotiating hazards and much more.

WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations require that employees receive training and demonstrate competency in operating mobile equipment. This course satisfies this requirement for those operating light trucks in this environment. Official BC Forest Safety Council certification is issued upon successful completion of the course. *Participants must provide their own vehicle for this training and

Pest Management for Cannabis Production This workshop is for persons growing cannabis plants indoors or outdoors and is designed for commercial growers of medicinal cannabis, persons growing cannabis for personal use or persons interested in working in this industry. The content will also be of interest to persons working in greenhouse production of flowers and vegetables. The workshop will guide students through a review of the main pest problems of this cannabis production and discuss management tools that are effective and meet the requirements of Health Canada. The morning will be a detailed focus on powdery mildew and spider mites, the two key pest problems of cannabis.
