Viticulture Certificate
The Viticulture Certificate program provides individuals with the skills and knowledge to manage a vineyard or seek employment in viticulture. Course work will emphasize the scientific principles underlying grape growing for the purpose of wine production, the various influences on grape quality, terminology, vineyard management including human resource and financial management, vineyard equipment operation and maintenance and safety.
Work integrated learning: 40 hours of work experience at a vineyard.

Wine Sales Certificate
The Wine Sales Certificate program provides individuals interested in employment in wine sales with an introduction to grape growing and winemaking, an understanding of legal regulations and standards within the industry, marketing and sales strategies, and knowledge of wine shop management and winery promotions. Coursework involves a variety of projects and field trips.
Work integrated learning: Practical experience in the industry.

Winery Assistant Certificate
The Winery Assistant Certificate program provides students with the knowledge and practical skills to work alongside master winemakers. Similarities and differences between wine, cider, beer and spirits will be explored throughout the program with an emphasis on winemaking. The program includes a focus on scientific principles of production, influences on product quality, industry terminology, equipment operation and maintenance, harvest and crush, sanitation and safety, sensory evaluation, and marketing and sales. Students will also gain real-world experience through field trips and a practicum.

Chocolate and Wine Pairing
Satisfy your sweet tooth and indulge in the pairing of chocolate and BC wine. During this three-hour workshop, learners will delve into the art of pairing chocolate with a variety of B.C. wines, discovering the nuances of flavor and texture that create the perfect pairing. Learners will sample a range of artisanal chocolates and B.C. wines, exploring how the characteristics of each can complement and elevate the other, and gain an understanding of the science behind flavor pairings, as well as the cultural and historical context behind each pairing.

Sparkling Wines of B.C.
A variety of sparkling wines from the B.C. Okanagan region will be highlighted. Students will learn production methods and grape varietals used, while tasting through six sparkling wines, including a true French champagne, for contrast and comparison.

There is a large variety of wild mushrooms that grow in North America. Gain the skills needed to identify which mushrooms are safe to eat and the ones that are not. Be prepared to walk one to three kilometers on two field trips scheduled for the weekend classes.
