THE PLAY THAT GOESWRONG

The Play That Goes Wrong

This Olivier Award-winning comedy is a hilarious hybrid of Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes. Welcome to opening night of The Murder at Haversham Manor where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. With an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines) this riotous farce proves the adage that whatever can go wrong…usually does!

MONSTERS SHE KILLS

She Kills Monsters

She Kills Monsters is a comedy-drama by Qui Nguyen that tells the story of Agnes Evans, an average woman who loses her parents and little sister Tilly in a car accident. Having been very distant from her sister while she was alive, Agnes embarks in an adventure to get to know her sister better by playing a Dungeons and Dragons module that Tilly had written and discovers things she’d never imagined. The plot takes place both in reality and in the imaginary game world; in the game world Agnes learns about Tilly’s exploration with her sexuality and how she struggled with her sexuality in reality.

MACHINAL

Machinal

A notable work of early American Theatrical expressionism. Written and set in NYC during the Prohibition Era, the play loosely follows the real-life story of the trial of Ruth Snyder, who killed her husband in the 1920’s. The story traces the life and downfall of a young woman navigating the twisting corridors of mental illness in an increasingly mechanized world.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

March 30 – April 2

William Shakespeare’s beloved early comedy, that tells the story of four lovers and a bunch of rustic clowns, who leave the strict confines of Athens for the woods, and are magically transformed, while being challenged and taught lessons by the tricky fairy Puck and his King and Queen, Oberon and Titania.
