The Co-op News member magazine, Quarterly Plug employee magazine and other member communications pieces won multiple statewide awards in the 2019 Oklahoma Communications Contest, hosted by Oklahoma Living magazine.

A photo of OEC employee Brad Scott congratulating a Special Olympics athlete claimed the top award for Best Photo, and the Co-op News won the Award of Merit for Best Overall Content.
The marketing and member relations team behind the work consists of Manager of Marketing and Member Relations Autumn McMahon, Education and Outreach Programs Director Tory Tedder-Loffland, Editor and Creative Director Brianna Wall, Energy Efficiency Solutions Specialist Daniel Lofland and Key Accounts Specialist Tim Ferree.

OEC's communications materials have also been awarded at the national level. Most recently, the employee magazine, Quarterly Plug, won first place in the Employee Publication category for the fourth year in a row. The brochure mailed to new co-op members also won a first place award in the same national contest.
"I continue to be impressed by what our team of seven is able to accomplish," said Wall. "Personally, I find tremendous value in communicating OEC's mission and cooperative difference to our thousands of members while providing them with relevant information so they can make informed decisions about their energy use." CEO Patrick Grace echoed the sentiments.
"I couldn’t be more proud of the MMR team, and the board [of trustees] feels the same way," said Grace. "We always strive to provide the best service we can, and the MMR team delivers this exceptional member service by keeping the members informed and educated… and by being our members' trusted energy advisors."
