Argo, Jensen, Tharp reappointed to OEC's board of trustees

OEC's board of trustees voted to reappoint Mike Argo, John Jensen and Ronnie Tharp to threeyear terms in August following two uncontested elections and one contested election that did not meet quorum attendance. The three returning trustees — also OEC members — proudly serve their respective districts across OEC's service area. "[Argo, Jensen and Tharp] have diligently represented the members in their districts throughout their service on the board," said Bob Usry, board of trustees vice president. "We know they will continue serving in the way our members expect and deserve."

Per OEC's by-laws, trustees serve three-year terms, with a different group eligible for election each year. OEC notified all members in the June Co-op News of the upcoming filing period for a spot on OEC's board representing Districts 1 (Norman, Moore and OKC), 6 (Blanchard, Purcell and Goldsby) and 9 (Mustang, Amber, Pocasset and Dibble). OEC's board of trustees are tasked with becoming educated, knowledgeable experts in the electric industry. All nine trustees hold certifications and distinctions marking them as professionals in the field, qualifying them to make decisions in their constituents' best interests and ensure the co-op succeeds in its mission while remaining transparent to the members who own it.
