Cannabis-Infused EggnogRecipe

Yields: 6-8 servings

Overall Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes (including chilling time)

Ingredients:

6 large eggs

1 cup granulated sugar

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup bourbon (optional)

1/4 cup cannabis tincture

1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, plus more for garnish

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Instructions

First, in a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until thick and pale. This process should take about 5 minutes. Next, in a saucepan, combine milk, cream, nutmeg, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Slowly heat the mixture until it reaches a simmer.

Do not boil. Now gradually add the hot milk mixture to the eggs and sugar, whisking continuously to avoid curdling. Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat over medium-low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

This should take about 15 minutes. Now remove from heat and stir in the cannabis tincture. If using bourbon, add it at this stage.

Chill and Serve: Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool. Cover and refrigerate until chilled. Serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top.

Note: The potency of the cannabis tincture can vary, so it's important to know your dosage. Start with a small amount if you're new to cannabis edibles.
