It’s been years since Allen Wright first stepped through the doors of The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital. He was just touring the facility, but the experience opened his eyes to the corners of our community filled with those who have needs.

Although Allen and his wife, Jacque, were young and didn’t have a lot to give at the time, they found a way to make a greater impact by giving to endowment funds at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Not only were their gifts perpetuated through investment, but by giving to organizations participating in the Kirkpatrick Family Fund match, their charitable dollars were multiplied.

Today, the Wrights have given more than $60,000 to support the endowment funds of a number of area nonprofits, including The Children’s Center.

“We have a real passion for helping those who can’t help themselves,” said Allen. “Whether its animals, children, young boys or young men – our philanthropy is fueled by our desire to make a difference for them and our community.”
