Jason has 27 years of experience with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, where he has held various roles including overseeing state and federal grant programs, the Made in Oklahoma program, and Market News. Jason also travels around the state serving as the official for cattle grading contests for 4-H and FFA members.
Jason is a graduate of the Oklahoma Agricultural Leadership Program, Class XI. He was the recipient of the OSU CASNR Alumni Early Career Achievement Award, OSU Graduate of Distinction for Agricultural Leadership, and awarded the Honorary American FFA Degree at the 2021 National FFA Convention. Jason has been a member of the Oklahoma Youth Expo swine committee for 20 years, as well as the general livestock superintendent at the Tulsa State Fair for 15 years.
