HOUSE ART 2020

This year the theme for House Art was “Environment”. Each house was given a 3x4 foot board on which to create their art piece. By dividing the surface up into smaller sections, every member of the house was able to contribute their small part. The topical theme this year allowed all our students to demonstrate creativity in their use of materials to reflect their imagination and passion for the global environment. As the boards are ultimately hung in the boarding houses, after initial display in the Shirley Hall, the students must enjoy the element of fun that always comes from a collaborative piece of art. Our Judges this year, Rev Lindsay Collins and Alastair Gould both chose Luxmoore as the winner, with Walpole second and Meister Omers and Carlyon third equal. It is hoped the boards will be on exhibition in the Pines Calyx Galley, St Margaret’s, in the Autumn. Thank you to everyone for their involvement and efforts. Peter Cordeaux Director of Art
