The Role

We are looking for an outstanding Director of Admissions to lead our Admissions team, reporting to the Director of External Strategy and working closely with the Heads to transform our approach to Admissions. This person will be involved at both a strategic and operational level, will act as a key ambassador for the School and provide leadership to the Admissions staff across King’s.

The Central Admissions Team Structure comprises: Director of Admissions, Head of Admissions, three Administrative Assistants and a Data Performance Assistant. There will also be a PA to support the Director of Admissions and the Director of External Strategy.

Furthermore, there are Admissions staff at JKS and the International College who will have a dotted line to the Director of Admissions. The aims of the role are:

• To build a first-class admissions operation that will be a beacon of excellence within The King’s School.

• To work closely with the Director of External Strategy and the Heads of the three Schools to deliver upon the School’s strategic objectives.

• To develop and implement a strategy to attract highly capable pupils of talent, energy and academic curiosity from the UK and internationally.

• To manage the efficient and effective running of the department, constantly looking at ways to improve our service.

• To measure performance, providing regular reports to the Director of External Strategy, the Head, the Bursar and the Governors.
