The Broadband Governing Board has 9 members and direct oversight of the Oklahoma Broadband Office, Executive Director and staff of the Office. The Board is charged with promulgating rules, approving and disapproving grant and incentive programs, setting a budget for the Office and approving the Statewide Broadband Plan. (Board Chair: Mike Fina; Board Vice Chair: Jim Meek)

The Oklahoma Broadband Office reports directly to the Board on the Statewide Broadband Plan, the State Broadband Grant Program and other grant programs and projects the Office develops. The Office oversees the creation and maintenance of the Statewide Broadband Plan, implementing the Plan, recommends rules to the Board, develop grant opportunities and regularly report to the Board and the Council. The Plan shall detail a pathway for 95% of the state’s population to be adequately served by June 30, 2028. (Executive Director: pending)

The Oklahoma Broadband Council serves as an advisory board to the Office. The Council is charged with developing and monitoring the Office’s plan as it relates to identifying geographic areas to improve access, financial viability of broadband services, maintaining the viability of the Universal Service Fund, and preventing duplication of facilities and investment with grant recommendations.
