Well, we’ve done it and it has been quite an adventure for some of our children, most of whom found the novelty quite an experience. Some liked the fact that it was in colour, others that it was a challenge, but not beyond their skills. Others on the other hand found it was too long. It is a bit long but as in most countries, the children get used to it the more they sit it. The Stanford has been a learning experience for all of us, children, teachers and direction, and I’m sure we will see the benefits of it in the months to come. The Stanford 10 may seem easy or difficult for students but it is the understanding and not rote memorisation that will help the students sail through it and perform

well. Incorporation of this type of test in our curriculum will slowly have a bearing on the pedagogy followed by our teachers as we focus more and more on experiential learning. This will reflect well on the Stanford 10 percentile the students get in future sittings of the test. With this edition of the Curie Express we are including photographs of students who sat the Stanford so that you have a souvenir of another of your child’s experiences.
