Enchanted Burlesque – Tryst

His Dark Materials

The Sorcerer

Through worlds real, and unreal, His Dark Materials is Philip Pullman's masterpiece of action, adventure, theology and philosophy in a two part theatre adaptation by Nicholas Wright. Following on from productions by The National Theatre and The REP it is now Year 13 Actors at BOA who take on the challenge and inspiration of this modern classic.

One of Gilbert & Sullivan's lesser-known comic operas, this show is full of fun and lots of tuneful, jolly music.

‘An affair to remember’ You are invited to a romantic rendezvous at Enchanted Burlesque – Tryst, an event filled with fascination and intrigue. An affair of the heart for lovers of burlesque who'll also adore a dash of singing and a satisfying chunk of variety. Starring the beguiling talents of Vicky Butterfly, Abigail Collins, Mysti Vine, Dave the Bear, Angel LaVey, Twinkel Pink, Verity Grey and your flirtatious host for the evening Mister Meredith. Enchanted Burlesque – Tryst will have you falling in love all over again with pure glamour and side splitting comedy. Please note that Enchanted Burlesque – Tryst is strictly 18+ only. The show will contain acts, themes and language that some will find offensive. Ticket prices: £20 adult, £18 concessions (in advance), £23 adult, £21 concessions (on the door)

Lyra Belaqua is a young girl, a rebel and a misfit with a destiny that could crumble worlds and tumble gods. On her side are armoured polar bears, Texan balloonists and her faithful Daemon. Massed against her are the institutions that have guided systems of belief and structures of societies for a thousand years. They will not let go easily, and Lyra's life and soul is at stake as battles of sword and politics erupt.

Alexis is marrying the love of his life, Aline, and is so happy he wants all the village to experience such happiness themselves. He commissions the Sorcerer to secretly administer his best selling love potion to everyone in the village. Anyone drinking the potion falls asleep and then falls in love with the first person they see on awaking. Needless to say, the plan goes somewhat awry, resulting in some rather unexpected and mis-matched pairings! Hilarious! Ticket prices: £12 Tue, £13 Wed-Fri, £14 Sat, £12 concessions Wed-Fri
