OLEMISSSPORTS.COM WHITE HOT Senior G LaDarius White scored 18 points off the bench in the Rebels’ win over No. 23 Creighton, including 16 in the second half to spur the Ole Miss comeback. White was a perfect 6-of-6 from the field in the half including 2-for-2 from 3, and knocked down both free throw attempts. Ole Miss trailed the Bluejays by six at the half before White spurred the Rebels’ comeback with a player efficiency rating of +21. White is averaging 12.3 ppg over his last six games and is shooting 52.0 percent (26-50) from the floor after starting the season just 2-of-9 from the field. REBELS IN BEAVER STATE This marks the first time Ole Miss has traveled to Oregon for a basketball game. The Rebels have only made two previous trips to the “West Coast”, both to California in 1986 and 2012. OLE MISS VERSUS OREGON The Rebels are 0-1 all time against Oregon after losing last year’s heartbreaker 115-105 in overtime to the Ducks. See page 13 for recap. REBELS VERSUS PAC 12 Ole Miss has a 3-5 record all-time against current members of the Pac-12 (1-1 vs. Arizona, 0-1 vs. California, 0-1 vs. Oregon, 1-0 vs. Oregon State, 0-1 vs. UCLA, 1-0 vs. USC, 0-1 vs. Utah). POWER CONFERENCE WINS A win over Oregon would give Ole Miss another win over a power conference after the Rebels posted victories over the AAC (Cincinnati) and Big East (Creighton) at the Emerald Coast Classic. It would also give the Rebels victories over teams from three different major conferences for the first time since 2011-12, when Ole Miss earned wins over the ACC (Miami), Big East (DePaul) and Big Ten (Penn State). REBELS HITTING FREEBIES Ole Miss ranks second in the SEC hitting 78.2 percent of its free throw attempts. The Rebels hit 19-of-21 attempts (.905) against Northern Arizona and have hit 92 of their last 113 from the line (.814). Six Ole Miss players are shooting over 75.0 percent from the line, including junior G Stephan Moody who is third in the SEC at 29-of-31 (.923) from the line. KENNEDY ADMINISTRATION BEGINS NINTH YEAR In nine seasons under Mississippi native Andy Kennedy, Ole Miss has a 176-102 record, one SEC Tournament championship, two SEC West championships, six 20-win campaigns and six postseason berths, which includes an NCAA Third Round appearance and pair of trips to the NIT Final Four. The all-time winningest coach in school history, Kennedy has averaged more than 21 wins per season in his eight full years in Oxford. SUMMERS NAMED TO COUSY AWARD WATCH LIST Senior G Jarvis Summers was one of 35 players recently named to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List by Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The annual honor, named for Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic Bob Cousy, recognizes the top point guards in men’s college basketball. OXFORD, Miss. - unior guard Stefan Moody led Ole Miss with 12 points, as the Rebels fell to TCU 66-54 in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Thursday. TCU (8-0) held Ole Miss (5-2) to a season-low 29.8 percent from the field, including a 7:11 scoring drought in the second half, during which the Horned Frogs turned a fivepoint lead into a decisive 18-point lead. Moody was the lone Rebel in double figures, his team-leading fifth game in double figures this season, scoring seven of his 12 points in the second half. Sophomore forward Sebastian Saiz was second on the team with nine points, followed by senior guard Jarvis Summers with eight. Senior forward M.J. Rhett led the Rebels with seven rebounds. In a back-and-forth first half that featured three ties and 10 lead changes, TCU took a 27-24 lead into the locker room. It was a defensive battle for much of the half, as the teams combined to go 16-of-53 from the field. TCU did its damage from 3-point range, where they went 4-of-8, while Ole Miss remained close by going 8-of-10 from the free-throw line, despite going 7-of-28 from the field and 0-of-6 from 3-point range. Ole Miss scored the first points of the second half, drawing to within one, before TCU answered with a 6-0 run to stretch the lead to seven. The Rebels battled back to within five, 42-37, with 13:06 left, before the Horned Frogs went on a 13-0 run and took their lead out to 55-37 with 5:55 left.

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -Senior Marshall Henderson hit a school-record 10 3-pointers and poured in a career-high 39 points, but it wasn’t enough as Ole Miss fell to No. 13 Oregon 115-105 in overtime Sunday. Mike Moser scored 24 points, Johnathan Loyd added 23 points and 15 assists and the Oregon Ducks made almost every shot they tossed toward the basket Sunday. It’s a good thing. They needed just about every single one of them. No. 13 Oregon outlasted Ole Miss 115-105 in an entertaining overtime game that featured 15 lead changes, 14 ties and some ridiculous 3-point shooting from the Rebels. The Ducks (8-0) felt fortunate to leave Tad Smith Coliseum with a victory. Marshall Henderson had a career-high 39 points for Ole Miss (6-2). The 6-foot-2 guard made 11 of 27 shots from the field, including 10 of 23 from 3-point range. The final minute of regulation was wild, with Ole Miss hitting three difficult 3-pointers in the last 40 seconds to climb out of an 86-80 hole. Henderson made two with a hand in his face and then Jarvis Summers nailed an off-balance 22-footer to tie it at 89 with 0.8 seconds left. The Rebels even had a chance to win in regulation after Oregon threw its inbounds pass out of bounds, but Henderson’s last gasp 3-pointer clanged off the rim.

Game 2 | Nov. 17, 2014 Ole Miss 74, Troy 64 Troy, Ala. | Trojan Arena

OXFORD, Miss. - Trailing for much of the game, Ole Miss went ahead 65-64 with 1:06 left in overtime on a 3-pointer from LaDarius White. Ole Miss had the ball, up one with a six second difference in shot clock and game clock before turning the ball over out of bounds, giving the ball back to Charleston Southern with 8.2 seconds left. In a furious finish, Saah Nimley missed the initial layup, but Cedrick Bowen followed with a tip-dunk with 0.1 seconds to give Charleston Southern a 66-65 overtime win in the season opener for both teams Friday night. Ole Miss was not able to overcome an inefficient offensive performance, as they went 19-of-63 from the field and 6-of-30 from 3-point range with 17 turnovers. The Rebels were also outrebounded 54-50, including 19-16 on the offensive glass. Martavious Newby led the team with 14 points and seven rebounds, one point shy of his career high. He was also efficient, going 4-for-5 from the field, 2-for-2 from 3-point range and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Newby was joined in double figures by senior M.J. Rhett, who scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds in his Ole Miss debut. White and Jarvis Summers, who fouled out with 2:06 left in regulation, added eight points each for the Rebels. Down 29-17 at halftime, Ole Miss rallied in the second half behind some timely baskets by Newby and Rhett, tying the game at 54-54 with 3:24 left on a jumper from Rhett. Charleston Southern went back ahead 57-54 before Stefan Moody sent the game into overtime tied 57-57 on a runner in the lane with 16 seconds left, getting his ninth field goal attempt to go down after missing each of his first eight. Friday night’s loss to Charleston Southern snapped a 10-game winning streak for Ole Miss in season openers, including the first loss in a season opener under Kennedy. The Rebels return to action, going on the road to play at Troy on Monday night.

TROY, Ala. - Senior guard Jarvis Summers scored 21 points, while junior Stefan Moody and senior LaDarius White added 14 points each, as Ole Miss defeated Troy 74-64 Monday. The Rebels (1-1) shot 50 percent from the field and outrebounded the Trojans 42-28. Saiz led the Rebels in rebounds, pulling down nine boards, while White added eight. Moody, a junior college transfer, added all 14 points in the second half. The Kissimmee, Florida, native’s basket with two and half minutes remaining gave Ole Miss its biggest lead at 70-55. Troy never led. Wesley Person scored 25 points for the Trojans, the most by a Troy freshman in at least 14 years, to lead the Trojans (1-1). The Trojans, down 34-23 at halftime, pulled within four early in the second half, but Ole Miss scored on its next four possessions, capped by a basket by Summers and led 44-32. After Troy sliced the lead to five with 13 minutes left, the Rebels scored-six straight points, including four by Moody. Sophomore Sebastian Saiz added eight points, while senior M.J. Rhett finished with six points and six rebounds. Freshman Marcanvis Hymon saw his first collegiate action, scoring two points and pulling down two boards.

OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss finished the first half on an 8-0 run to take a 37-32 lead into halftime. The Rebels (3-1) carried that momentum into the second half, as they led the rest of the way in an 80-74 win over Northern Arizona. Senior guard Jarvis Summers led the way with a season-high 22 points, his second 20-point game this season. He was joined in double figures by junior guard Stefan Moody (13 points) and senior guard LaDarius White (12 points), who each finished in double figures for the third straight game. The Rebels held a decisive rebounding advantage, 42-27, and took advantage at the free-throw line, where they went 30-of-35 for the game. Coming out of halftime, Ole Miss extended the lead to eight after a 6-0 run that included a transition steal and dunk from LaDarius White. Northern Arizona (1-3) got to within one, down 45-44, after a four-point play from junior guard Aaseem Dixon with 14:30 left. It was back and forth between the two teams, before Ole Miss pulled away, taking a 65-51 lead after a 13-0 run. Game 6 | Nov. 29, 2014 Ole Miss 66, Cincinnati 54 Niceville, Fla. | The Arena

NICEVILLE, Fla. - Jarvis Summers led the Rebels with 23 points, while LaDarius White added 18, including 16 in the second half, as Ole Miss defeated No. 23 Creighton 75-68 at the Emerald Coast Classic Friday. Martavious Newby and M.J. Rhett added nine points apiece for Ole Miss (4-1) which will take on 5-0 Cincinnati - a 69-51 winner over Middle Tennessee in the first semifinal - in Saturday night’s championship game. Summers was 9-of-10 at free-throw line and Newby was 4-of-4 - all in the final 20 seconds - as the Rebels finished 19-of-21 overall from the line. After trailing by six at halftime and 65-63 after Toby Hegner hit one of two free throws with 2:13 remaining, Ole Miss took the lead for good on Newby’s 3-pointer from the wing with just under 1:45 to play. Rhett followed Brooks’ missed 1-and-1 free throw with a baseline jumper, and Summers and Newby combined to sink 7-of-8 free throws down the stretch to close out the comeback. Ole Miss got the early jump, scoring the game’s first four points and led 16-10 with just under 13 minutes to play in the half before Zierden caught fire and scored nine points in a 17-2 Creighton run over the ensuing 4:30.

NICEVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Junior guard Stefan Moody scored a career-high 26 points, including 17 in the second half, as Ole Miss handed Cincinnati its first loss of the season with a 66-54 victory in the championship of the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic basketball tournament held at The Arena Saturday night. The Rebels scored six straight points to break a 14-14 tie, retaining the lead the rest of the way. Cincinnati struggled offensively, shooting a season-low 30.4 percent from the floor after hitting a season-high 56.8 percent in a 69-51 triumph past Middle Tennessee State Friday night. Clinging to a 30-25 halftime lead, the 5-foot 10-inch Moody ignited the Rebels in the second half with his penetration producing twisting layups in the paint through the Cincinnati offense. He also hit three three-point baskets. Moody was named the tournament’s most valuable performer and was joined by senior guard Jarvis Summers, the leading active score in the SEC, on the 10-man alltournament team. The Rebels shot a sizzling 62.5 percent in the second half, hitting 10 of 16 shots. That allowed Ole Miss to construct its biggest lead at 52-33 with 10:22 left following a free throw by Moody.

GAME RECAPS Game 7 | Dec. 4, 2014 TCU 66, Ole Miss 54 Oxford, Miss. | Tad Smith Coliseum OXFORD, Miss.
