Project Background Beijing is the capital city of China, a country built upon traditions. Siheyuans (traditional courtyard houses) are located in Beijing’s central area, around the Forbidden City, close to amenities and transport links. Beijing Siheyuan comprises of traditional Chinese architecture and for hundreds of years has been well sought-after by affluent members of society. Nowadays however, in some areas of Beijing the houses have become neglected and obsolete for modern day living, as they lack modern facilities such as toilets and heating, having separate outside rooms for different purposes. My project, through thoughtful design improves and solves these issues, redesigning the interior as a contemporary residential property, suitable for modern day living.
Siheyuan Redesign
Interior Design Idea From Air pollution And Organic Architecture Inspiration from Japanese Zen Style Interior What kind of design of Siheyuan will be attract people want to buy and want to living in the house. Keywords to answer are the nature and environmentally green, as we know that China have the high index of air pollution especially in Beijing, and air pollution Caused haze has a serious impact on republic people’s life. Other side, most of the people in Beijing are living in the modern apartment, and busy working on office every day even weekend, they have no time go to the park and enjoy the nature. So why not bring the “green” to home? My concept of interior design will be the nature at home. And Organic architectures like Frank Lloyd Wright falling water building and Japanese Zen style interior design inspiration me a lot about it, the idea is original wood furniture will make the whole interior looks more nature and organic.
Floor plan is the soul of the interior design; traditional Beijing courtyard landscape plan or floor plan is quite typical and unchangeable, there is a lot problem like I mentioned before there are no toilet on the house and traditional courtyard have any heating system. During my floor plan design process there is lot of problem need to be solved, for example how to make all every room connection together in split way? How to arrangement toilet issue? How to make every room get maximum nature light by traditional style windows? (Because of every windows have to face to the garden) Finally I design my floor plan like this.

Theatre Absolute
This is a group project with Architecture students; we are asking for to redesign a theatre, which was located in city center of Coventry, UK. However the theatre is a really small one and they do not have a lot of audience and guest everyday, they play the theatre few times a week, other side they only have two stuff there for arrange the chair, stage and clean up, As we communication with the client, we get a few key point: - Only two member of staff - Multiple use of workspace -Second hand suspend ceiling lighting -Hand chair they use - Save money and space as much as we can

Because of the apartment size are really small, and they do lot limiled the high of the flat, so I get a idea to design the apartment as a loft, its could be help save space. Interior and furniture picture upper right and left below are gives idea of my mini apartment design, wood texture stool and floor’s feeling is what I want design for my apartment. Interior design is not only a combine of furniture and color but also an attitude of life.

There are two main benefits of my floor plan design, firstly, bed upstairs will give more space for this mini size apartment, other side, seperiate the floor will helps get well lighting for different area like living area and bedroom area. ShoppingCentre Redesign
Location & Floor Plan This building was located in Coventry city center Hartford Street, and currently, it is a spiritless empty shopping center with only main entrance, otherwise there is no window to get light inside, like a huge size empty cube (as you can see from the picture below). For my plan to redesign this empty cube as a new shopping center. I get some inspiration and concept from Birmingham Selfridge shopping center and London King cross train station to redesign this interior. Ceiling window will be help to get high lighting. Double glaze to constriction interior will get a good view from different floor.
Picture above are my whole building interior construction idea: As you can see on the floor plan picture left pages. There is 12 meter high of this building, its have a lot of high space to use, so firstly I would like to separate it by floor. Then I would like to design a high light window to get nature lighting. Finally use the constriction element like London Kingcross station to design a interesting high lighting area of the interior structure.

Furniture And Material About GRP: Fiberglass (or fiberglass) (also called glass-reinforced plastic, GRP, glass-fiber reinforced plastic, or GFRP) is a fiber reinforced polymer made of plastic matrix reinforced by fine fibers of glass. It is also known as GFK (for German: Glasfaserverst채rkter Kunststoff). Fiberglass is a lightweight, extremely strong, and robust material, and is used for many products. Although strength properties are somewhat lower than carbon fiber and it is less stiff, the material is typically far less brittle, and the raw materials are much less expensive. Its bulk strength and weight properties are also very favorable when compared to metals, and it can be easily formed using molding processes
