Content About Me I learned painting as a little girl and became concerned with environmental issues since I was eight. Art and nature have always been my passion. And if there is one career that best combines these two, it is Landscape Architect.

EminĂśnĂź Waterfront Location: Istanbul, Turkey Type: Waterfront

The presented project is a group work where two Landscape Architects and two Architects are working together in re-imagining Eminonu Waterfront at Istanbul, Turkey. Our group thesis focused on bringing the culture of Istanbul back to the waterfront by enhancing a pedestrian friendly environment. We propose to increase the length of the interface between the water and city. Improvements also include transportation hub upgrading, commercial together with public space enlargement, city grid reconnecting as well as design response for sea level rise.

Pasadena Urban Tissue Plaza Location: Pasadena, CA Type: Museum Plaza

This site was initially an empty parking lot between two museums in Pasadena; the Pacific Asia Museum and the Pasadena Museum of California Art. Based on its unique culture, atmosphere and surrounding urban context, the architects understands the place as a space that represents different cultural identities as well as an urban tissue that connects the city's urban fabric.

MASTER PLAN

Inspired by geometries in modern art and Asian landscape philosophy, space divided into parcels with different functions. Those geometries create more outdoor exhibition spaces and landscape along eyesights with framed views.

Art District Revitalization Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA Type: Infrastructure Revitalization

The project based on the incoming new bridge replacement of 6th street bridge viaduct above LA River. The 6th bridge is the culture icon of LA, and Art District is also a place full of memories. Instead of tearing down old buildings for new development, this project applies careful thinking on how to enhance and connect this region without losing its character. Art and industrial history are the main characters of this area. As a result, the railroad's relic represents the city's history of transportation and transformation that becomes the new skeleton of connecting Art District to Boyle Heights, while also providing adjacencies to new programs such as art galleries, studios, and museums.

RAILROAD RELICS

HOT SPOTS OVER RAIL LINES

A Field trip by walking through the site and documenting all existing and abandoned railroad relics. It reveals the character of Railroad in Art District as more than an old way of transportation but also the memory of city transformation.

Uncommon Ground, Imagine the Future of Art District is a report about Art District. This diagram mapped out the collection information of their research among people who lives in Art District about their desire for Future. Overlaid the old rail lines, the hot spot symbol indicates a high desire for street beautification and open spaces.

PERSPECTIVES CONTAMINATION It is a heavy industrial area with railways on both sides of the LA River. Regarding the geological issue, soil contamination is the main concern in the area. The hazardous materials include lead, oil spills, fuels, and petroleum hydrocarbons.
