GENERATION Z

What do you see in the future?

Destruction sadly.

Chilling at University is as far as I am seeing now. I just wanna get good results and do well.

What do you see in the future?

I see challenges, successes and growth.

It’ll be whatever you make it, but I won’t lose sleep over the future, shit happens.

What are your thoughts on technology?

It can be amazing but it would stop so many issues if we didn’t have it and were left to do things face to face.

I like the idea of social media as it connects us but I think it’s poorly executed by humanity.

Social media’s a place where everyone’s guilty of seeking gratification to feed his or her ego, which can be good or bad. It detaches us from who we are and creates a false reality, which offers escapism from the mundane normality’s of life. Which too can be good and bad. However memes make up for this.

Technology is becoming so helpful that it makes things worse.

Do you feel optimistic of pessimistic for the future and why?

Definitely more optimistic now. I’ve already been through pessimistic thinking and it wasn’t good.

Opportunities are plentiful and I feel optimistic.

I feel both. No one is one or the other, everyone experiences optimism and pessimism with the only thing that changes being how much of each. For the future, I feel that there will also be a mixture of both.

I’m realistic, but I try to keep my glass half full. Don’t be miserable.

How important is politics to you and why?

Politics is one of those things I wish I knew more about but it is all so complex. I have realised that it’s kinda fixed and parties don’t usually go through with what they say they will. It’s more about money making than the actual issues I think.

It is really important to me as I find it really interesting and I like to maintain a good knowledge of current affairs. Politics determines our life and we should all take part in it.

Politics isn’t important. Order communication and balance are. Talking about world problems and how to fix them is.

It’s important to me as it is too anyone else. But I wouldn’t let it define who I am. The needless division politics causes pisses me off.

How do you see Generation Z differing from previous generations?

Everything’s more over social media, it’s all about shallow talk. Previous generations seemed more romantic and genuine. They would receive flowers instead of Instagram likes.

Being 18 is full of pressure and the inexperience of youth means I’m having to adapt to survive.

Future generations will be even more intrinsically linked to technology and will most likely benefit and be disadvantaged by this.

I think our generation are more socially accepting of people nowadays. But there’s more expectations within society of us, causing us to be afraid of doing whatever the fuck we want. If it isn’t deemed ‘normal’ then it’s criticized or considered unsuccessful or inferior.
