FUSION 360 MODELLING I chose to make the model on th is sof tware because I h ad neve r use d i t be fore and wanted to challeng e my self. Af ter completing the mo de l on fusi on 360 I then took the mo del into Keyshot to create realistic renders of the Bose s peake r.

THE BRIEF Th is projec t was b ased arou nd an o ld M U J I desi g n br i e f where we were asked to desi g n a pro du c t for the cor ne r of a space. We were g iven the o pti on to take ei the r a literal or me ta phorical a ppro ach to the projec t.


RESEARCH For my research, I deci ded to take a meta phor ical a ppro ach to the i dea of a cor ne r, by focusing on creating a men tal corner for people w ho are cons tant ly t rave l li ng and need there own pe rson al wor kspace availab le 24/7.

S K E TC H D E V E LO P M E N T I n the sketching stag e of the projec t, I ex plored a var i e ty of i deas su r rou nd i ng the metaphorical approach of the corner. The idea I decide d to g o w i th was a fo ld ou t laptop case, the g oal for th is was to help the user to create thei r ow n pe rsonal works pace anywhere at any time.

During the development stage of the project, I experimented with different nets, using poly-prop and cardboard for quick mock ups.

Once I had decided on the right net for what I wanted to make, I then began to sew together the final prototype, the materials used were calico and MDF.
