THE LEATHER
The leather industry is one of the oldest in the history of mankind. Leather is a natural organic material, a noble and ecological material, it is durable, repairable and recyclable. Over time it patinates, evolves and embellishes.
Well maintained, the skins have an extremely long life.
FULL GRAIN LEATHER
This is the area of the hide with the highest density of fibers, which makes it a highly resistant material with a certain roundness and a real softness to the touch. Full grain leather has a beautiful patina over time. Even with high quality, it will keep the roughness of the skin making each hide unique.
TANNING
There are several tanning methods. One of the oldest and probably the most noble is vegetable tanning. With this process, and to keep it simple, the tanning and preservation of the hides is done with pieces of bark, wood, roots, plants. Some hides require mineral tanning depending on the destination and the constraints required of the hides. Tanning is the action of making hides rot-proof.
LEATHER MAINTENANCE
As leather ages, it tends to dry out and can become stained, so it is advisable to apply products to clean and nourish it in order to make it more supple.

Dust your leather piece regularly, using a soft cloth.
To clean your leather piece, moisten a sponge with soapy water and make light circular motions. Rinse and let dry for a few hours.
Nourish your leather piece regularly (once or twice a year), using the MOOGLY glove or a soft cloth, spread a thin film of the nourishing cream, rub it in and polish.

Brainshots Trends offers a wide range of belts and waistbands in different sizes. Our belts are a reflection of our products: simple and durable.
Made in the South West of France, they are cut from the best leathers from French tanneries renowned for their know-how.
These full grain vegetable tanned leathers are designed to last by preserving their beauty and will enhance with the patina of time. We associate them with high quality buckles like the "Prestige" range made of solid brass melted in the French Vosges mountains for the Poursin house. Some of our buckles are made by hand, one at a time.
These are rare pieces whose molds are very old and the traditional manufacturing process does not allow us to guarantee a permanent availability for certain models.

The collar is a full grain leather with a smooth vegetable tanning and a very good behaviour. It is located on the front of the back (dosset) as opposed to the croupon which is located on the back.
