Olivet College’s mission is to provide an education that enriches lives intellectually, morally and spiritually to a diverse campus community. Having attained these qualities through their educational experiences at Olivet, our graduates embody the “divine art and science of doing good to others,” as stated by the College’s founding fathers in 1844.

The Olivet Plan Students engage with faculty and staff at Olivet College in an educational program called The Olivet Plan, which implements the College’s academic vision of Education for Individual and Social Responsibility.

The Olivet Plan is based on the College’s historical mission of offering an education to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or economic status.

The program helps students integrate learning from the full range of their experiences, engage in active learning both inside and outside the classroom, and take genuine responsibility for their own learning.
